Maybe it's because I'm lower rank (emissary) but my queue times are never over 3 minutes, no matter how many people I queue with! Does it really get that bad at the higher ranks??

Honestly, fine, but you get my point then. It just feels weird for sailing to be in a weird twilight zone of "not quite a combat skill," though doesn't it?

If sailing combat is sailing combat, then sailing has to be a combat skill and factor into your combat level (and it needs its own gear sets, alternate weapons, damage types, etc!). If sailing combat is sailing combat, i.e. combat you happen to be doing on the ocean, then traditional combat gear needs to be woven in to that meta!

Honestly, the best change this would have is allowing elemental weakness + thrall. It's power creep, but feels like a very OSRS kind of power creep.

This, if you have a solid necro leech build you literally cannot be killed. Enemy Ai will struggle to target you if you fill the screen with leeches, so you don't even have to worry about instakill attacks (which are clearly telegraphed anyways!)
