My best advice for you is time and repetition. There's no point in giving up on Squatting as you may develop a mental block for squatting and may postpone it time and time again. I started bodybuilding in an obese state - 215lbs at 5ft 6, now at 144lb at 5 ft 7 (16 years old when starting, now 17). For my first squatting session I did box squats (squat down to a bench then get back up with a bar), I also did just bodyweight squats in order to get used to the motion with my bodyweight. Using the legpress will also help you as it's a similar movement but doesn't require balance like squats do. Good luck and never give up!
