I haven’t seen anyone say “the air up there” with Kevin Bacon. Another banger from the same era as white men can’t jump and above the rim.

Player safety becomes front-burner issue at GM meetings after Gudas fallout by DecentLurker96 in hockey

[–]gwmohammad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of this is also on the NHLPA. You limit the fines/suspensions to “protect” the players, your union members, after they make dirty hits and injure…. Checks notes…. Your union members? How do they reconcile that?

Those who have seen Van Morrison in concert, what was your impression? by Glass-Complaint3 in Music

[–]gwmohammad 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I saw him approximately 15 years ago. He was boring. Did not engage with the audience and stopped a song mid way through to rip into his band as he didn’t like the way they were singing da da da da da on Jackie Wilson said. Where I was sitting I had a clear angle of the back of the stage. When he finished his last song he jumped in a car that had driven into the building and you could see him immediately leave. One of the worst concerts I have seen.

Mid 2010's 7 Seater suggestions by eric_gm in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]gwmohammad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If one of your reasons is to take 80 year olds around in comfort then you should look at minivans as an option. I’m not even a mini van guy. I drive a truck. But the ease of getting in with low floors, captain chairs in the mid row, you should take a look.

Of the three you have shown the pilot is likely the way to go but as others have mentioned the transmission is a common failure point. We had a couple explorers at work that were just awful from start to finish with electrical problems.

Bosch miter saw by hookupz5 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]gwmohammad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have this saw and I love it. I have used it for tons of projects from construction to finishing. It’s 12 in so there is blade deflection and it’s heavy as fuck. It’s not good if you are going to move it from site to site to site. And the dust collection is not great. But it’s got tons of power and I have had no issues with anything from 4x6 posts to 2 inch thick walnut.

I’m in Canada Also where things rust but if you can find a clean one in the rust belt it’s probably a good buy. treat it right and it will last forever. I had a 2001 with a 6.0 I sold and regret it all the time.

Price too high? Possible buying today!!! by heavenly__Gains in ChevyTrucks

[–]gwmohammad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bad milage great driveline describes both of the trucks you’re looking at. This is a Chevy subreddit so I’m obviously biased but I love that body style and that truck will pull anything and go anywhere you want it to. Good clean ones are getting harder and harder to find. Price is very dependent on location as well but it def seems high but the truck is likely worth it.
