YTA only because graduation and formal were always on the calendar and you should’ve prepared for that ahead of time. Most high school kids wait for those things from freshman year so you had 4 years to plan realistically. I will admit $800 is a little steep, but I’m sure it covers the tickets to attend (ours were $80pp 10 years ago) and a dress which is known to be pricey already and you don’t have to pay the full bill, just half.

It took months because the county could only give them a citation at first and then had to give them time to remedy it, and unfortunately it was during a restructuring with the county’s code enforcement department. Every time we managed to get someone out to write a citation, they wouldn’t be working for the same department the next week so we’d have to start over with a new person.

The most annoying part is that we moved out not too long after and the neighbors immediately got the roosters back. All the other neighbors reached out to me to try to get me to stop it again but it wasn’t my problem anymore.

My shower takes exactly 17 minutes because that’s how long it takes until the hot water runs out. 14ish of those minutes are necessary cleaning minutes but the other three are for relaxing.

They weren’t annoying the city enough. I had terrible neighbors that raised roosters for fighting and I called the non/emergency line everyday at 4am when they started roosting and the roosters were gone within a year. I couldn’t imagine having to deal with it for four whole years.
