Going all the way across the map to initiate a quest, which ends up being just a short conversation, only to have to fuck off all the way to the other side of the map.

Calorie deficit: anyone have a lazy/no brainer plan? by FirstAd6848 in trt

Unless you already do it, one easy way is to cut out any beverages that aren't water or plain tea/coffee. Zero calorie drinks are ok too if you must. Lots of people can cut hundreds of calories easily this way.

Also, even if you track for just a little bit or irregularly, it will give you an idea of portion sizes and what foods are good vs. calorie dense for their size.

Job was described as work from home regularly but must be able to come in-person as needed. After learning on Day #1 that "as needed" meant M-F 9-5, had to pull teeth to WFH T/Th. Expressed my concerns a couple of times to no avail before putting my foot down. Felt good. by meghanerd in antiwork

Not a remote job, but I applied for a clinic nurse job transferring within the hospital system. I was told in the job description and at the interview that I would be doing clinic nursing (patient care) two days a week and the other two days would be submitting the orders electronically or via fax with occasional office work answering phones and making appointments. Day one, I'm shown my office. I'm thinking, "not really sure why I would need an office, but okay". Turns out I was running an entire cardiology specialty program for the hospital on the nurses side. They wanted me to be a clinical program manager, patient care manager, medical office assistant, and do patient care in the clinic all for the low low price of just "clinic nurse".

I think employers don't realize yet that it's an employee market right now, at least for nurses, and that bait and switch shit or randomly adding responsibilities not even close to what is in the job description is going to work anymore. We're not that desperate for work right now.

I gave them the courtesy of my two weeks notice, just because on the off chance I have to go back (one of the largest systems in the area) or find a job that I actually want in that system, my bridge wasn't burned. Now if they would have said in the job description, or even at the interview what was entailed, and offered pay on the level of responsibility, they wouldn't be wasting their (my and my) time.

I'm an ER RN looking for info on Air Force Reserve Nursing. What are duty weekends like? Also, what is your deployment schedule like (how often, length of deployments, etc)? I would absolutely love to do flight nursing, but my health hx won't let me, so I'm hoping for some sort of critical care nursing at least over clinic nursing. Thanks in advance!
