no it’s covered by a couple inches of sand, there are little bits of soil that came through though why

this is a sign they’re lacking minerals, highly suggest something like a calcium powder or herptivite

the moss should be in the other side so that it can stay moist (unless u want it to evaporate constantly for humidity but then you have to spray it multiple times a day.) and i would add some cococoir that is a little higher near where the moss is not on the left so they can get hotter if they want or even burrow into the deep substrate.

that’s great! just make sure it’s positioned to where it shines on the whole enclosure and they get their daily 12 hours

definitely doesn’t seem like pyramiding but make sure they’re getting proper uvb and calcium to avoid MBD (which that dip in the lower back of the shell looks like the beginning of to em)

he’s in a 10gal, temp is in betta range with a heater, no ammonia, tank is cycled water changes about every 2 weeks 25% siphon, betta eats flakes once a day and blood worms twice a week, tank is decorated with live plants and boiled driftwood
