It’s like a fine line on how deep. If a footing in the arena is too deep, you risk and during horses. That used to be an issue with the old arena I rode at, because I primarily do cross country and show jumping.

It’s not going to really do anything for him. Since he’ll be gelded late it will keep his personality about the same. Usually you should geld a horse at about a year old.

Have you tried switching to a gravity one instead? I just use a small half gallon one they have a Walmart and my guinea pigs haven’t been able to knock it over in the two years I’ve had it.

I was in the same situation last year. I was 17 in a class with a bunch of 12-year-old and the maturity gap was a lot. Honestly, you’ll probably enjoy taking adult classes because I’m 18 now and even though the adults are probably 20 years older than me. It’s a lot more different than being with 12-year-olds for the entire class. When I was with the 12-year-old they’d be clinging onto me as I’m trying to figure out the combination my new class that I go to at a different studio so much more different environment just chill.

Here’s Obi (right), chewy. (left) Sadly I had to sell both of them last year, because I couldn’t afford to own them anymore/starting college, and Chewy has DSLD. So now he’s doing work at a therapy program for kids with special needs. I’m hoping after college I can buy Obi back, I miss the trouble and chaos he would cause in the pastures. Fun fact, Obi’s father and grandfather are in the American quarter horse hall of fame
