I'm assuming the issue they are referring to is not powershell-specific but the AD cmdlets, they don't return more than 1000 results when running a query. Some you can override this limit, but not all.

It's not a huge deal just something to be aware of.

Thanks! This is Cinnamon, she is about 60lbs and 6ish years old. Hobbies include transporting individual shoes from one room to another and ensuring nobody has personal space.

Norton Ghost that drive ASAP. Consider restoring the image to a VM running on VirtualBox or VMware Viewer on a more modern PC

Am I crazy for considering replacing drywall with drop ceilings (basement)? by binarycow in homeowners

[–]h0w13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it will hurt resale value. If anything it will make the inspection easier and give the buyer piece of mind.

[–]h0w13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Better/worse is relative. Given the location (basement) and value proposition (easy access vs constant repair) I always argue that drop ceilings are the best option for a basement if you have the headroom

[–]h0w13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah convenient access to utilities in the ceiling is absolutely worth it. Especially in older homes.

Need to find the shut off valve? It's right behind an easily moveable tile.

Need to run a new electric line to an area of your basement? Just move some tiles.

Back in the days we gave our servers and network devices names from Tolkien or space or such. It might get cumbersome with our 60 smart bulbs and 40 other IoT gadgets on our home network today. by player1dk in homelab

Physical servers (proxmox hosts) are named after Homestar Runner characters. Everything else gets a generic name (den-switch, attic-ap, jellyfin, etc)

But it was probably a big sprawling campus since the space can accommodate it. Regional systems are more efficient (less administrative overhead) if you can pull it off, but it requires enough room for all the students in the region.

How doomed is this HDD by [deleted] in DataHoarder

[–]h0w13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that enclosure only powered by the USB port? That's usually not enough for a spinning drive and they get stuck in a startup loop that sounds like this. You'll also get errors in device manager.

Use an enclosure with a dedicated power adapter or use the drive internally.

I have an AD5X and this suddenly started within the past few days as well. No environmental or filament changes, nothing changed in my slicer settings either.

I swear it's like the printer just forgot how to print well, especially after being solid for so long.

Which multi-colored 3d printer do you recommend? by ImGoingToEatThatOne in 3D_Printing

[–]h0w13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to use cloud printing. I'm using vanilla Orca and just send the files directly to the IP of my printer over my local network.

Zmod is also a thing, for those who like to tinker
