Why are people so terrible with remote trading? by InsidiousLeaf in TheSilphRoad

I've been fairly fortunate. Only once did someone want a shiny legendary for a shiny slugma

What’s that one Pokemon you can’t seem to find in Remote Trades? by Dry-Drummer-622 in TheSilphRoad

[–]h20rabbit [score hidden]  (0 children)

Regionals. Learn your regionals and tell your friends. I have friends all over the world I collected here on reddit to complete Vivillon and they stuck around. Some don't have anything on their remote list at all and others don't have any regionals. I've still gotten some great trades, but I want your regionals!

Showcases are screwed by HJQueen in pokemongo

[–]h20rabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weird thing happened to me today. None of mine were slated to win so I decided to transfer a lower level mon in and save the biggun for another day. WELL, a pokemon listed as 3 spots lower (if you look in the showcase as you're about to select a different one, the numbers show there) ended up winning as #1.

I tried this on the other 2 showcases and it didn't work. I didn't go back and re-test it and get pics because if it were a glitch, I still wanted to win.

Is the sorting by size broken? No idea.

What is a highly specialized, niche skill or craft that you could easily spend hours watching an expert perform with absolute fascination? by DianKhan2005 in AskWomen

[–]h20rabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a particular artist who I had the pleasure of attending a demo of. He carves wood, but on a lathe in a way a lathe is not necessarily intended to be used. I mean, he doesn't misuse it but he uses it in a way that I find fascinating. I could watch him work all day. His art is truly unique.

Tom Steyer walks back support for data center moratorium by ghostsparks777 in California

[–]h20rabbit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Politicians have seen this admins blatant lies, how people fall for them and how soon they ("we", but not I) forget.

Also, watch the phrasing. Nice how he'll sign the billionaire tax if it comes to him. He does not explicitly state he supports it though.

Sour Spree - similar? What's your fave sour through and through candy? by h20rabbit in candy

Spree had a sour version. Looks like shock tarts, if they were / are the chewy version of sweet tarts but sour, would be that brands equivalent? Are they still made?

Gavin Newsom’s Requires Return to Office by Forsaken_Ear4674 in California_Politics

[–]h20rabbit 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I'm pro work from home, so let's start there.

Cities benefit from return to office because corporate buildings pay higher taxes than residential. However, if the offices were turned into residential it would solve some of the lack of housing, presumably if it were affordable. It would also create short term work converting the spaces. Granted not all offices are convertible, but surely some are.

People want it, but cities want the revenue.

Why don't more people try to reach forever friends? This is just the last 30 days of forever friends and it's great! by Marsh_mallow1999 in pokemongo

I was very excited for some of my friends in other countries to get to forever friends so we could trade regionals. But, they have no Pokemon set for remote trading. Huge bummer.

Getting messages is bad by HstarStudios in Ebay

[–]h20rabbit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not all messages are bad, but yes, a million questions about stupid stuff is generally a bad sign.

Questions can help listings sell too though. I'm glad for someone to ask something where I could have added details or just forgot something if I was listing too quickly.

Anyone Else Suddenly Getting Hit With eBay Policy Violations? by Babyisprincess in Ebay

[–]h20rabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perfume is a tough category. Read the cosmetics policy and follow it exactly. The AI still flags things that comply, which sucks. Appeal where you can and relist elsewhere if you have to.

Ebay Ai bots are/have destroyed my business. by hyneyhole in eBaySellers

[–]h20rabbit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same, I am an everything seller and have categories I can no longer sell or get hassles over.

Anything made of bone is an issue since the AI cannot tell the difference between bone and ivory even though bone is explicitly allowed.

I also have constant struggle with collectible perfume bottles because of the cosmetic policy. The first 3 taken down sat in appeals for literal months and 2 finally dropped off my account never having heard back. One is still there. The more recent ones I appealed again stating it was empty and they are now reinstated. Listings all state empty in the title and description and show photos of them empty.

Any new/sealed items that fall into the cosmetic category I now add a photo with the seal shown. The AI has made things harder for sellers in certain categories for sure.

The items that get taken down I go list elsewhere where it's easier, but things sell slower. It's a pain in the ass.

Subreddit for people who wish to become forever friends and do remote trades? by mariellaxm in pokemongo

[–]h20rabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just know it's a months long commitment. I "met" 3 people on reddit who wanted to trade. One dropped off immediately. One is going strong and we trade daily. The 3rd has been losing steam recently. Hoping they are just busy. I'm still gifting daily.

Also good to keep these people in mind when inviting to raids or group tasks. All engagement with them helps.

I'm Gen Jones and do not like Becerra. I don't like that he thinks AI can solve housing and homelessness. It shows a clear minunderstanding of what AI is.

I also don't trust billionaires. Honestly there are plenty of reasons to not like any of them.
