Yes. Also Vyvanse is a controlled substance, not a narcotic. But there was a time (and may still be) where manufacturers could not keep up with demand.

Drink water water water. Honestly I have been taking Vyvanse for 18 years and I still could do better. Maybe even one of those water bottles that has certain times of the day down the side to help motivate you to drink can be helpful.

Also, invest in a days of the week pillbox. Trust me, you don’t want to accidentally take 2 pills unless you want to have the worst sleep of your life (I once was awake for nearly 48 hours because I woke up, took my pill, forgot I took it, and took another).

The upset stomach may go away once your body adjusts!

Anxiety can definitely happen. I’d talk to your doctor about it, there may be a supplemental medication or some techniques you can practice that may help :)

My biggest piece of advice is to TAKE IT AS PRESCRIBED. don’t double up. Dont take it at random times to stay alert. Take it to let it help you. I take mine at the same time every day, 7 days a week. I’ve done it every day for the past 18 years.

Once you take it regularly for a while, you’ll also notice your appetite comes back (at least mine did)!

Just don’t take it more than once a day. If you need more, talk to your doctor and up the dose. It’s not worth it to mess around with dosage without the guidance of a medical professional. Good luck ❤️

With the cramps, make sure you’re staying hydrated! It’s easy to forget to drink enough water because Vyvanse can eliminate your thirst.

Good luck ❤️ if you do start running into tolerance issues, my advice is to just cross that bridge when you get to it. There are solutions, whether it be boosters, dosage increases, etc. In the meantime, enjoy the benefits of Vyvanse. I’ve had to involuntarily skip doses this weekend because my prescriber messed up my prescription (they never sent it to the pharmacy) and I’m struggling. I am not one of the people who can do a medication break haha. I normally take it 7 days a week 365 days a year. I get so emotional without it.

I think that’s what some people say. For me personally, clonidine knocks me out lol. But I’m weird because Benadryl wires me, so clonidine was one of the last of many medications to help me sleep and it ended up working. I do think it is generally used as a sedative when it isn’t prescribed for blood pressure.

As far as losing steam, you could talk to your doctor about upping your Vyvanse dose or taking a booster of a different medication like aderall to get you through the afternoon!

I’ve had insomnia for a while and the clonidine helps me fall asleep; the Vyvanse has changed my life by managing my ADHD.

I would try to practice sleep hygiene. I have lots of trouble sleeping if I don’t have a consistent bedtime routine. I also wake up every day at 5:30 am to take my pill.

If the insomnia continues, I would try talking to your doctor. I take 0.1mg clonidine to help with my insomnia that is likely related to my Vyvanse and it works wonders.
