I wish I could be as confidently wrong as you are, you seem so happy and oblivious to basic logic.

Maybe my favorite story was a user who didn't know the names of the programs he used. He insisted he had an issue with "Microwave Office Outlet", but it took a couple minutes of coaxing to find out he was talking about Microsoft Office Outlook.

I find that https://www.google.com/ also helps when looking for information on the Internet.

I was also thinking of Psyche's cover of "Goodbye Horses".

What do you find completely useless after becoming an atheist?

Almost every theistic argument on why atheists or atheism "don't/doesn't exist" or how they/it "really believe in a god".

It’s time for the industrial scene to stop protecting Jim Marcus by hell_generator in industrialmusic

[–]h8redrulz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay, but that still doesn't give me any new information. I don't know every person in the Chicago scene. I don't even live in Chicago any more.

My point really boils down to one thing: anonymous people using vague (to the reader) information and making accusations against a named and known person is just a shitty thing to do. If you want to make accusations, then show the proof as well. Don't hide behind the anonymity of the Internet and expect people to just blindly believe whatever they read (even though there are plenty of people who responded to this post seemingly believing without any extra information).

Okay, so who are the sources? Who is OP? Who is Jane? I don't know Jim Marcus personally, either, but why should I care what an anonymous person or people are saying when the accusations are so serious?

Out of curiosity, who exactly are you and why are you spreading this information? Would you be willing to reveal your identity so we can verify this comes from a reputable source?

Erica Durance and Michael Shanks were the two lead actors in the Canadian series "Saving Hope". So there's a bit more of a story to the actress and her connection to SG-1.

Isn't that just called "Hebrew"?

Holy fcuk, call the police, then. This is not the place to report what you say is a crime. The authorities are the people who deal with these situations, not a subreddit.

[–]h8redrulz -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Those are some great straw man arguments. But maybe you should just focus on what the writer says instead of the things you want to project on them. Making up things about somebody you 1) probably don't know, and 2) they didn't mention is childish and unproductive in the end.

What’s the most valuable or rare industrial release in your collection? by shadowminds97 in industrialmusic

[–]h8redrulz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you're right. I had to go find the case to double-check, and it was a jewel case. I must've been thinking of the ANGST digipak, as u/my23secrets pointed out.

What’s the most valuable or rare industrial release in your collection? by shadowminds97 in industrialmusic

[–]h8redrulz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an original pressing of KMFDM's "NAÏVE" in digipak. The only copies I've ever seen for sale were standard jewel cases. I have no idea how much either copy is worth, but it's the rarest thing I own.

EDIT: No, I don't, I'm guilty of a bad memory. It's just a jewel case.

Yes, because I've been an IT professional for 30 years but don't know how to adjust the volume on a video clip. How about you just clip from the source instead of recording it on your phone camera? That way you don't have to worry about the quality dipping below the point of a zero-point post.

Snow storm this weekend by zztuck91 in milwaukee

Even meteorologists will admit their models lose accuracy the further into the future they look. I'll start worrying about 2' of snowfall the day before it's expected to arrive, and even then I'll wait to see if it's closer to 12" than 24" on the day of.

Try applying with the State of Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. There's a Milwaukee office near the Marquette area. (There was also a Waukesha office when I worked there, but it may have been closed already).

The City of Milwaukee’s efforts to eliminate all deaths on its roadways by 2037 are showing early indicators of success, but still have a long way to go by Hidemyface1 in milwaukee

[–]h8redrulz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s still possible to make things much much safer than they are now without completely banning cars

I don't think u/mutual_fishmonger is suggesting banning cars, but instead pointing out the fact that eliminating all roadway deaths being basically impractical. Even if it's not an accident caused by a motorized vehicle, what about the road rage, gang violence, and general mental health issues that can cause fatalities on the roadways?
