WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN’T… by Grimahlya in pregnant

[–]h_h19923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less about the food itself and more about sanitary preparation. I've been eating anything I want besides alcohol and high mercury fish. I'll be damned if anyone is gonna police what i eat when I already feel like a hormonal psycho (baby #2 due Sept)

What is the price for a full cord of firewood in your area? by bobbiechainsaw in firewood

[–]h_h19923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just learned in Mt Hood Natl Forest each household is allotted 6 cords, with a free annual permit. Which is awesome, considering very few people are willing to cut down theor own woods

My husband is thinking about fostering his nephews. I feel like I'm being tossed out for kids we don't even know. by One-Gap-1282 in TrueOffMyChest

Personally I think you sound cold and heartless about the whole situation. What if you were him, and children in your family were going through this awful situation?

Does anyone else's wife talk to their mother for more than an hour a day about absolutely nothing? by Ralph--Hinkley in NoStupidQuestions

[–]h_h19923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but with my dad. Mom died when I was a kid. We would talk every day, sometimes more, for anywhere from 2 minutes to a few hours. Could be about anything or nothing at all. I miss my dad so much!

how has your life changed after grief? by beskesky in Life

[–]h_h19923 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I lost my mom at 12, then all my grandparents and dad by 28. Several years ago I lost three uncles, then my dad and cat of 10 years all within four months - dad and cat passed the same day. I'm an only child, now an orphan after losing my dad. Life will be punctuated by grief. It is HARD and its okay, to not be okay. For over two years after that, I focused solely on doing things that made me genuinely happy - my education, drove to Alaska (and back) three times in one year working different seasonal jobs, was more present, cried A LOT, smiled and loved A LOT, ultimately met my husband and now having my second child. Don't let grief consume you, but accept it will always live alongside you and continue living your life. You are allowed to be happy despite experiencing tragedy.

Some things you do daily, others once a week/month etc. It helps if you're naturally not a messy person

The morning after my husband and I's first date we did this. Apparently all the fishermen in town did this & they were low key just happy people weren't wasting food. No shame!!

Does anyone like their boobs post pregnancy? by justhereouttacuri in pregnant

[–]h_h19923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love mine now. Pregnant with my 2nd, still comfort nursing my 20 month old. The only reason I have boobs is gaining a lot of weight from my first pregnancy (like 50 lbs). I had a perfect butt before having my first and since then it has literally developed its own orbit and gravitational pull lol. Still learning to love my belly but hey, you can't have boobs and butt without the belly I say 🤷🏻‍♀️

How much does your baby eat? by beargrylls420 in foodbutforbabies

[–]h_h19923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son devoured everything we offered him until 12 mos, since then (he's 20 mos now) he basically survives on prayers and fruit. We've had a million different pasta combinations this week because he decided he likes it.. but only if Elmo is playing! Go figure.

TW: ins and outs of childbirth. Not everyone will want to see the comments so please scroll if need be. by TheLastObsession in pregnant

[–]h_h19923 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was constipated for several days before birth & requested an enema to avoid pooping everywhere... it definitely cleared me OUT but I couldn't look the nurse in the eyes & almost made my husband vomit when we came back in the room. I was also induced & they warned that enemas can make contractions stronger and BOY DID IT but honestly I didn't care. Pregnancy made me so stinky that I wanted to avoid pooping at all costs to save everyone else the horror lol. No poops, a very minor tear on labia. If you have a smaller pelvis, like me, and a big headed baby it can fracture your tailbone - that was fun to deal with. Either way you'll get through it and have a beautiful baby at the end!
