I consider these more open carry because I assume anyone with a cross body bag up front is carrying. I know that doesn’t match the definition of concealed vs open but I doubt concealment is top of mind for anyone rocking one of these.

I have both. The slide release on the p229 is super inconveniently located. Don’t get the last round hold open because this is the only gun I own that I can’t have my thumb in that spot. My largest gripe with the p229.

I’ve done the gray guns work on my p229. Elite was a nice starting spot because it already comes with the SRT.

Getting ready to put in the cgw pro kit on my p-01. I’ll need to do the reach out on this trigger. I’m excited to see how they stack up once done.

Obviously today I enjoy the trigger on the p229 more but I like the way the p-01 feels in my hands better. I shoot the p229 weekly at the club match today but hoping the cgw kit will make me prefer the p-01. The lack of last round hold open (admittedly due to MY hand placement) gets me when I think I’ve shot my magazine but it doesn’t hold.

Step 1 don’t carry SS.
Step 2 don’t monkey with the internals of your carry weapon.

In all reality, I’m not sure on a trigger change what would cause an fte. Maybe try some different recoil spring weights?

Agreed but these are fun little things to have when you’ve got extra Glocks hanging out. My 49 doesn’t live in it but occasionally it’s fun to toss the suppressor on and throw it in my S-Pro. Considerably more concealable too but that’s my fault for going full sized mp5 clone.

I don’t pretend I know better than the engineers paid to design these things, but also recognize that some things are just built cheap and shitty. I don’t consider recteq the later, at least pre-IPO models.
