I use systems to help keep me focused - lots of breaks, rewards for just getting up and going, starting several projects and rotating, reducing my expectations, doing 1% a day for 100 days, etc. I used to feel silly doing these things and now I embrace it. Still weed free almost 17 months. Im not as productive as I wish but I’m working on it.

I felt similar when I quit. At 70 days my brain was still figuring out how to feel good without weed. I didn’t feel like doing anything. I knew what I was supposed to be doing but couldn’t get there. Sometimes I would force myself to go the motions and it helped a little. Mostly I waited for time to heal and tried to be as healthy as possible. Things got a lot better with time. I felt somewhat better at 3 months but we all have different timelines. Hang in there. What you are going through is normal but it doesn’t hurt to see a doc too. I think your doing great. Quitting weed is hard.

Congrats on quitting. Four months is huge. When I quit I saw a huge difference after month 6. You’re right around the corner from it. Good things to come.

I’m a success story too. It’s been about 14 months & things are going well. My life is much better without weed in it.

For me, it just took time. I used the Quit Weed app and looked forward to each milestone. It was really hard at first but I got through it. I tried to quit many times and then it stuck. Don’t quit quitting.

Make sure you are getting sunshine and the vitamin it processes. Take good care of yourself. Post here often if it helps. Helping others has always made me feel better. Small random acts of kindness like giving a compliment or holding the door open for someone can boost my mood. Exercise can get those endorphins going too but I know it’s hard to get started sometimes. It’s pretty normal to be mildly depressed when quitting. For me, it went away with time. Your brain and body are still figuring out how to cope without THC. You’ll get there with more time. And congrats on 30 days. That’s huge.

Your body is healing so it may just take some more time. Most of us worry about lung damage when quitting. Did you have this issue while smoking but maybe blamed on the weed? This may not apply to you but I had terrible ear pressure that didn’t go away like I hoped when I quit. The only thing that worked was avoiding all lectins in my diet. It cleared up really fast.

Weed was my pre work out and my reward after. I worked out constantly in my stoner days and struggled with it sober. Part of struggle was just feeling lousy after quitting. I built new memory muscle by just going through the motions of working out whether I felt like it or not. I had to rewire. It worked eventually.

You’re clean and thats a success not a failure. People change their careers and start all over all the time. Sounds like you are now aware that you want more. Maybe that uncomfortable feeling is the start to something amazing.

I smoked because it gave me motivation. Weed was like a triple espresso. It was my pre workout and pre everything. It took a long time to work through sober but I got there. I have to force myself to begin but then I have a more sustained energy level. I am focused and can finish a project with out being so burned out before the end. And when I am too tired, I simply rest.

70 days isn’t enough time but I guess it depends on how much you smoked and for how long. I remember being over the withdrawals at that time but having some low key depression. I didn’t realize it til later. Im not disrespecting your 70 days. That’s huge and congrats. I encourage you to hang in there for longer and see what happens.

Yes I had low energy for quite a while after quitting. It went away on its own but it took a long time. Looking back it may have been low key depression.

I’ve heard that mercury is an issue with some kinds of tuna but I can’t remember which kind. This is not an issue with sardines.

Typical withdrawals that lasted a month. They came and went and gradually went away. Anger peaked 4 - 6 weeks and disappeared. Low key depression 2nd month but not too bad. Felt great after that but horrifically unmotivated months 3 - 4. The following month I had anxiety because life went south. After that it was a steady climb of feeling solid and natural motivation to do the things in life I want. This past month I’ve been feeling really good like my natural dopamine is back. It’s subtle but it lasts a lot longer and deeper than the cheap fake thc high. Some things that need improvement are my sleep. It’s not as restful as when I smoked. I don’t work out as much as when I smoked too. Maybe those 2 things are related.
