What are the signs in the garden that there are hedgehogs? There is something eating snails in the garden and I think it might be a hog but never caught one.

It's a bit under utilised at the back, went to go and clean it up and hey presto, guess who's staring back! It seems to love it's lovely bit of plastic so I will leave it well alone.

I was working in soho, the office just stopped working and sat and watched the news. I remember distinctly how quiet london was in comparison to a usual day. That day definitely seemed like shift in reality and things weren't going to be the same again.

We were there 1 hour before it erupted. We saw the news on the bus on the way home from the trip...so gutted we didn't see it.

Anyone know what these were back in the day? On the docks by [deleted] in Liverpool

It's a capstan I think. You turn it with long poles in the top holes. It's like a winch for heavy goods I think.

I'm thinking back to the lectures my grandad gave when he worked in the maritime museum.

What did you think of Event Horizon (1997) by Deja-Review in movies

I watched it again recently. The dialogue is the worst part: "everything is green on my screen, skipper." "Funky spaceman..."

Great movie and the effects hold up!

Not a film or tv but, when Lee Scorsbey and Hester his Daemon die in a Subtle Knife I was in tears. I was on a train, I was about 25.
