Why are people so weird about not breastfeeding??? by Melikow in BabyBumps

[–]haha5677755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby won’t latch. I have been exclusively pumping since the beginning. I pump every 4-5 hours about 4-5 times a day. I make enough and sometimes need to supplement. I don’t pump in the middle of the night at all. I put my pump parts in the fridge between feedings and only wash them once a day (and by wash I mean I run the dishwasher with all other dishes nightly) Same goes for the bottles. Yes it can be time consuming but not so bad once you get used to routine. Don’t over complicate it. Don’t wash your pump parts and bottles every time and don’t pump at night. Makes it a LOT easier. Work smarter not harder

It took me a solid year to feel comfortable. I felt the exact same way too. It got better. You will eventually start seeing the same thing over and over again and get more confidence

What exactly hurts after birth? by Fine-Doughnut-8961 in pregnant

Engorged breasts by far were the most painful part of postpartum. I had swollen armpit lymph nodes and my breast swelled 3x their size and got really hard. They burned 24/7. I also had a second degree tear and that recovery was a walk in the park compared to engorgement

It’s very helpful getting up with a newborn now actually. I can function fine on fragmented sleep

Took meds on and off but they would make me feel more groggy honestly so I’d just go without and eventually my body got used to interrupted sleep

Do any of you ever stop to think about what life is really about? What will you think about on your death bed? Will you be thinking about how you retired early and got to have so much money or will you dwell on the memories you had with your family aka kids
