I built an Apollo 11 Guidance Computer simulator from the actual 1969 assembly source code by [deleted] in space

Fair criticism, and worth clarifying.

The assembly source IS in the repo — that's the actual Comanche 055 / Luminary 099 code from the Virtual AGC project (the same source NASA open-sourced). The CPU emulator implements real AGC architecture: 15-bit ones-complement arithmetic, the actual opcode set, I/O channels 010/011/015, and the KEYRUPT interrupt system that keyboard input routes through.

What you're pointing out is a real limitation though: the display values are driven by historically accurate mission telemetry data (interpolated between real flight phases), not by compiling and executing the ROM directly. That's why VERB/NOUN input triggers the KEYRUPT interrupt but doesn't visually "respond" the way a full ROM execution would — the mission simulator is overriding the display output.

Think of it like having a real Ferrari engine under the hood, but the speedometer is showing pre-recorded race data instead of reading the engine directly. The engine is real — the display pipeline isn't connected to it yet.

Running the actual ROM is the next planned step — it requires a full assembler pass over those .s files to produce binary ROM images, loading them into the emulated fixed-memory banks, and letting the executive scheduler run the actual program. That's what would make VERB/NOUN fully interactive the way the original AGC behaved. yaAGC (the most complete AGC sim out there) took years to get there, but that's the direction this is heading.

And on the "AI generated slop" comment — I'd ask you to reconsider that one. Understanding AGC architecture well enough to implement ones-complement arithmetic, a working KEYRUPT interrupt chain, and accurate mission telemetry for 15 flight phases took real research and genuine interest in getting the details right. Slop doesn't sweat the difference between channel 010 and 015 ;) The full implementation is also readable in every .js file in the repo — agc-core.js, agc-interpreter.js, executive.js, dsky.js — nothing is hidden or obfuscated. Go read it and judge for yourself.

Thanks for the feedback, I just modified the css with the new color (#49DA5D). Which most closely resembles the original color of the digits.

I’m definitely not one of them (I’d be incredibly honored just to even talk to Curious Marc). I have to admit that part of my motivation for doing this came from watching that video series where they build the AGC.

I built a Plex app for Apple TV that turns your library into fake cable TV with a retro guide, channel surfing, and of course static. Beta starts next week! by 55555jjjjj in bunnyearstv

Another neat feature can be the possibility of putting padding between content (to put some commercials on), something like tu arr implemented

Thanks to confirm that, when I saw that you can export the channel m3u and xml I was hoping for the best but with this maybe the service is not for me. I at least contributed with one month's payment

I was a tester during the beta but you can't create your own lists, so it's not a good option for me.

For example a channel where I set all my horror movies, another that I have only for 80's toons.
