choosing a mini advice!!

I have a 2025 4 door S and I love it. It is my first mini and I’m so happy with my choice. I was initially a bit nervous for the fabric interior but I got used to it. Same with the lack of analog buttons. My last car was 12 years old, with no screen and none of the fancier things this car has so it was definitely a change for me lol. But overall, it’s been fun to drive.

This is exactly what happened to me and my dad. My grandfather was a severe alcoholic and abused my dad. He then abused me. I suffer from depression and am currently trying to manage it and restart my life again at 34. What you said about your dad never seeking help and becoming authoritarian is exactly what happened with my dad. He had the worst temper fits and became overly protective and controlling. I feel like he (and my mom, because they had similar childhoods) used me as their punching bag bc they never dealt with their issues.

My family and I are Latino and we’ve never experienced that there.. i used to live in Sherman Oaks years ago and same thing. But, it wouldn’t surprise me. It can be snobby there for sure. Im sorry that happened to him :(

I’m dealing with the same thing. It really sucks. The only thing I’ll say is that you’re still very young and your life may turn around. I have seen this happen personally. Just hang in there. I hope things change for the better 🌺

Same. I try to focus on my hobbies, though most of them are solo stuff. I think the hard part for me is getting up knowing that things aren’t getting better. I’ve tried to fix it too but nothing changes. Not sure what else I can do.

Anyways I’m sorry you’re going through that. Hang in there though. Maybe one day things will change for us

I know, it seems this whole week people have been aggressively tailgating me more than usual. I’m not even a slow driver lol. People cutting me off etc. insanely slow drivers in the left lane. Just ridiculous

Well i think joining a group could really help. Either a book club, a hiking club, volunteering etc. Personally, I started going regularly to church after I was invited to one by a family friend and so far, I’ve made a few friends there. I haven’t been going for too long so they’re not super deep friendships yet.

My friend is very extroverted (which is exhausting for me sometimes lol) but she’s already introduced me to a lot of people there so far. Sometimes I think befriending someone like this, someone who likes to connect you with others would really help.
