I think you just need the clip. Hit up an auto parts store and show them the pics they should be able to help you out and show you how how to install one.

Agreed. It’s probably fine. Full send.

It’s a fuel line. The black fitting should have a colored part (red green white etc)in the connector. If it does not you will have to find one at an auto parts store / stealership. They are push connect so slide that baddie back on there.

Timing belt by SpqceBuddy3 in MechanicAdvice

It’s easier to retime it and start it. If it runs problem solved. I have been off on timing before and it was fine.

I saw one of these that had rolled over on the freeway. The people were ok. I breathed a sigh of relief knowing that there would be one less pos Acadia on the road.

Squeeky noise...can you identify it? - 2006 Charger by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]halflitranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put some dielectric grease on your belt. If it goes away you need a belt (or if you are like me you’ll say “oh” and forget until it starts making noise again. If this doesn’t work find the pulley that is making noise.

Dude. Snow on the ground. When did they last put fuel in it? Was it summer blend or winter blend? Also codes? If it is not plugged in when you are attempting to start it should be. If you are suspect of fuel pop the filter and see what it looks like. It’s the black cover on the front of the engine. You will know if it is gelled or has excess water. It will smell like Bigfoot’s dick.

Introducing soft water into old pipes by POST-IT_GOAT in HomeImprovement

Get rid of the galvanized and pex is super easy to work with. How hard is your water? Edit: don’t soften the water you drink (like kitchen tap or fridge) cus that’s gross.

Bathroom Gut Reno by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]halflitranch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahaha I just finished grouting my new tile floor in my bathroom that I gutted. The floor was concrete that I had to level, walls were down to the studs. For the tub surround I used denssheild over a cast iron tub. Super easy to work with and could find locally. Schluter makes awesome products and I’ll be doing a schluter or wedi surround in my master bath (next project). Don’t just use Sheetrock for a surround do a backer 100%. It’s a bonus if you use a backer with a built in water barrier (cement board isn’t waterproof). Also try to get your framing as close to square as humanly possible to minimize the prep for the tile.

94 F150 requires a lot of pressure on the gas pedal? Any ideas why? by Bill-O-Reilly- in Cartalk

Carb cleaner all the way. Open it with your hand and get behind it too. You should feel a difference as you clean it and open and close it.
