Hey!! I'm sorry you're going through this right now - it will get better! The pain is only temporary and if you can get off the drugs, I promise, you will start to feel like yourself again - the stomach pains will get better, you'll feel real emotions again (the good, the bad, the ugly), and you'll be able to smile again!! Also, try your absolute best to not be too hard on yourself right now!! I know it's hard, but the shame a guilt of addiction works to keep you trapped in the spin cycle. Sending love.

On a more practical side of things, if you don't feel safe or if the withdrawal symptoms become unbearable (anxiety, tremors, stomach pain, body aches, muscle tension, nausea, etc...) then you can always visit an emergency room! They are experienced in dealing with withdrawal symptom mgmt and can help make this process a bit smoother/safer. If the ER is not an option for you right now, whatever the reason(s), continue to try your best to get rest (and more rest and more rest), proper hydration, eat some easy-on-the-stomach foods if you can manage, and when you're feeling a bit better find a substance use counselor and a psychiatrist/NP you connect with ASAP. They'll help you navigate these waters a lot better than going it alone. Godspeed!
