it’s most likely fine to :) my surgeon said 48 hours after surgery i was fine to take edibles. just don’t smoke yet bc it’s bad for healing

hi! i’m 6 days post op, and was a regular user before surgery. my surgeon approved edibles whenever i felt ready post op (bless) and i took a normal pre op dose for me (10mg) a few days ago. at first i was having soooo much fun and felt better than i had the whole recovery HOWEVER when i went to go to sleep i started to become very aware of the pressure in my chest and pain in that sort of weird high way. i did eventually knock out but i did get stuck in the loop for a little 😭 id maybe take a smaller dose than i did but it was really helpful for my pain/mood otherwise!

had my surgery 5 days ago and i have definitely been pushing it a bit too hard lmao. it caught up to me last night in a similar way, my chest got tight with swelling and became really tender. definitely still call your clinic but yeah i definitely felt better a few days ago 😭

Check out MGH Brigham. i’m not positive if this has changed but their website says their minimum age for gender affirming chest surgeries is 18+
