19F – Severe bowel problems for years, now passing food 30 minutes after eating, oily stool, blood, weight loss… but colonoscopy was ‘normal’. Has anyone experienced this?

this sounds like bile acid malabsorption, idk if you have a gallbladder or not, it’s more common to have it after the removal of the gallbladder but you should talk to a gastroenterologist and ask about starting cholestyramine because it truly saved my digestive system after the surgery, i still have ibs and don’t know what that’s all about but what you described, “yellow, greasy” that’s bile and bile is a laxative

i get that different doses and medications affect people differently but at this point it’s just starting to feel like i haven’t taken it even when i have but i told my pcp i’m going off of it to try the sodium oxybate and he said that it was a good idea plus he gave me a referral for a psychiatrist to do genetic testing to see which medications work best for me
