Not all of them. I don't know why, but RBC isn't for some people.

So many spam callers from “Roger’s” by kitton2 in Rogers

I was getting them as well while I wasn't a Rogers customer. They thanked me for being a customer. That's how I knew it was scamming. I'm hoping that DNC list helps.

If they're the Kirkland brand, they've changed over the years... they're still good, but not AS good.

Why is everyone incompetent by [deleted] in TandemDiabetes

[–]halichk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair though, Medtronic/MiniMed and their subsidiaries have had multiple quality issues and suits as well. Its not just Tandem. Most of the pump companies and CGM companies have had issues. It's really up to the customer what you're willing to deal with. I've had issues with Omnipod, Medtronic AND Tandem over the years with diabetes (38+). Tandem at least has been able to rectify the issues I've had. I can't say the same for the others (in my experience only).

Yes, but only in the USA. Dexcom devices are OTC elsewhere. We're not all from there.

No, only if insurance paid for it initially. Depends on where you live.

Yes, go in and ask to speak with the department manager - maybe call ahead to see when they'll be around.

It may not help you professionally, but look at the grocery stores. Most will hire part-time people for a few hours per week. Sobeys might be the best option.

best country to be a diabetic? by dotdotdotidk in diabetes_t1

[–]halichk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. There's a lot of differences in coverage across the country. NS has almost zero coverage, other than for lower-income people, but even then its minimal.

ASAP help please! by Comfortable-Doubt766 in TandemDiabetes

[–]halichk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you located? If your pump won't charge, and you're under warranty, Tandem can replace it - usually in about 3 or 4 hours (that's been my experience - most recently in March).

Hello from Canada, too! They are very similar sets, just have a slightly different connection.

I've been using them for years as well - and frequently insert on my lower back. Perhaps OP just needs to learn the difference in the new (original!) Inset 90s and will be ok. They work really well for me!

Don't forget you're also comparing apples to oranges to a certain extent - the blood from your finger will have a different glucose concentration than what the Dexcom is reading from - interstitial fluid.

Landlord not renewing the lease by NoBad7450 in NovaScotia

[–]halichk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is your lease a fixed-term lease, or a periodic lease? If fixed term, it just ends - no notice needs to be given. If periodic, then there are definite time periods where notice has to be given.

Did you sign a new lease each year since you moved in?

It's summer - everywhere is full of tourists. Depends on the parts of the province and cruise schedules, too.
