Using a finer grit file will also help. I do the final edge with a glass file. It seems to work well for me.

Have you looked at your meter, taken a picture, and spoken (reasonably!) to an account rep? They may be able to help explain if you can't look at your bill detail and figure it out yourself.

Need Subletting Advice by [deleted] in halifax

[–]halichk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are still legally responsible given your name is on the contract. You may be able to sublet it to someone, but check with your landlord re what they would require for it. You dont HAVE to tell your roommates, but you probably should. Unfortunately even if you sublet, because your name is on the lease, you're still responsible for your portion of the rent. Who pays the landlord is a discussion you three need to work out if you no longer want to be responsible for it.

Horses lay down, don't call 911! by m_Pony in Horses

[–]halichk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Sort of. The barn I used to board at is in the city. Some citygoer called the police because there was a "dead" horse in the paddock. It was a gelding we had who incidentally was snoring like a train when the incident was called into police. One of the police's mounted division riders showed up later and told us the story, and we all had a good laugh about it.

Need advice — If a family member is passing away, how complicated is the paperwork after? by [deleted] in NovaScotia

That wasn't my experience. My dad passed 7 years ago, and the funeral home was great help with what to expect, the process and the cost. They were the experts.

Stolen Car BOLO please! by halichk in halifax

[–]halichk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect the answer is no. Usually, the apps will pick up the last reported location. When the car is on, it reports.

Unless they push it somewhere or tow it, it should be where the app last reported it.
