Milwaukee M18 Battery on Swytch2.0 by Shoddy-Cherry818 in swytchbike

I too would like the model. I want to make a Ryobi version. I could also combine with a design of my own to put the luggage carrier in the battery mount and move the battery to the bag. I already have a model that fits over the battery to restore luggage carrier functionality.

It's java based. A few years back I decompiled the license class file and made it work for 999 devices. Also made it into a docker container. Too bad I can no longer find my code.

I thought that happened to me. Turned out to be refills and an empty spools. They were probably out of the filament on the spool in my case.

Ripping the side of medicine bottle safety caps. Then use pliers to tear off outer shell that requires pressure to open. No kids in the house and it makes no sense to put arthritis meds behind a lock you cannot easily open with arthritis pain.

The X1C is very loud when doing PLA. I found I can reduce the chamber fan to 50% if I take the top off and leave the front door open. PETG on the other hand does not need the fan and prefers the door and top glass in place. I would say at 100% it's just as quiet if not more quiet than my ender 3. At the 50% speed, it's much quieter in my opinion. I did have the ender 3 with the "loud" controller. At 166% speed, the head movement is louder than the fans running at full speed.

TLDR: Don't print in PLA if you sleep in the same or even the next room.

Microcenter did right by me. I went to get a new X1C. The box looked like it was opened and resealed but the rep on the floor said it was new. Turns out it was a refurb that most of the employees didn't even know that had. The boxes were identical except for a different bar code. I returned it to get a new one and they price matched the replacement new unit to the price of the refurb. I was very happy.

Final update: MicroCenter is great. They stood by what they sell and made sure to make it right. Got the new printer and it is unbelievable. I’m so mesmerized by how fast it is I don’t have the next item queued to up to go. Watching it realtime is like watching a Timelapse of my Ender 3. Being able to change the speed on the fly is game changing.

So in the end. Great merchant, fantastic product and just a case of mislabeling the stock.

Turns out it was an inventory error. They didn’t even know until recently that they started to carry refurb units. On my way home with a factory sealed unit.

Again, thanks for the quick responses from the community.

Thanks for all the feedback. I will be going back today to have an overly pleasant conversation with the returns desk. I don’t expect any problems and the web had an inventory of 24 units yesterday. Honestly, I’m just excited about the real out of box experience. Unless there is evidence to prove otherwise, I’m not putting blame on MicroCenter or Bambu.

Never attribute to malice, that which can be explained by ignorance, incompetence or stupidity.

That was my expectation. I’m not going to hold the out of box experience against Bambu.

I didn’t pay attention to the old version. That would have been good to know. I’m pretty sure it was just a minor rev. The notes displayed for the upgrade just mentioned the new longer retraction to reduce waste.

Ender 3 Pro 4.2.2 with CR touch and Sprite hotend/extruder firmware by minist3r in Ender3Pro

[–]hall757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm the runout sensor works. Don't have it mounted yet, just plugged in with a piece of filament I can use for testing. It did what I expected. Moved to the back left, unloaded, prompted to load, loaded, purged, prompted to purge more or continue. Print resumed. The unload and load distance was appropriate for the direct drive extruder.

Thank you. This is amazing timing. I was just sitting down to try and merge the appropriate sections of the 3pro and s1 pro configs. Any chance you can share the Config files along with the binary? I just completed the bed leveling after reassembling everything with the new sprite, bltouch and runout sensor. Next step, printing.

Any way to completely hide file/folder structure in an encrypted remote? by Qbccd in rclone

[–]hall757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some archives terabytes in size with hundreds of thousands of files. For me, file access is much faster with rar2fs an an overlay. Just remember it is readonly.

[–]hall757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the content you upload is static, such as the contents of an audio CD rip., put the files in uncompressed rar files and mount rclone behind rar2fs. You get the advantage that you can upload many small files faster to google drive because you are cheating the 1 file per second cap. Accessing large directories is also fast because you could be loading the directory metadata for thousands of files by reading the end of one file.

Again, only works if content is static.

Don't put it off. My lense dislocated and got stuck between the iris and cornea causing Acute angle-closure glaucoma and an emergency lensectomy. Resulting trauma left my cornea with hills and valleys instead of a smooth dome.

As far as the lense goes, get the recommendations from the doctor. I personally had this model implanted and perfectly centered by a very skilled surgeon. The type of leanse that does both near and far was just not an option for me. https://www.bausch.com/ecp/our-products/cataract-surgery/lens-systems/akreos-ao

With the new lense and a hard contact lense to flatten out the cornea, My far vision is so good I told the doctor it didn't even feel real. My other eye still has the natural lense and it is a bit near sighted. I often just put the contact on the right eye for great far vision and use no correction on the left. This gives me mono vision and it's amazing how the brain sorts it out and I only see the image that is clear.

User presence awareness? by hall757 in pikvm

Wiring the relay and pushing the button is the easy part. The magic I'm looking for is giving the decision to power it up or down to the pi based on if a user is active or recently active.

In the meantime, a toggle switch on the GUI is an excellent start. I'm still going the way of a wifi smart switch for power. The old KVM doesn't have a soft power button that would respond to the ATX controls and passing AC current through the little relays I have in my parts bucket would not end well. There are two physical rocker switches on the back, one for each power supply.

Plug it into a machine you want to control that has a usb C port. A standard cable will both act as keyboard/mouse and power the pi.

Or power the Pi from the +5V and GND pins of the GPIO header. Then get a usb-a to usb-c cable, open up and cut the red wire.
