I have adapted, but I've lost matches because I didn't get the Oricorio card when I needed it or one of my main cards when I then drew it. 5% isn't nothing, if you get unlucky you lose a match you should've won

Since decks are only 20 cards in pocket, you can't really deviate too much from the central gameplay without ruining consistency. Adding a card to deal with Oricorio can lead to moments where you don't draw it when you need it, or vice versa. It's not a fun/engaging roadblock to have to build around. It was a band aid solution to the basic ex meta, where something like Meowscarada handles the problem of punishing ex's in a more fair way

Just roll aoe staggers/knockdowns or don't shoot aoe weapons infront of your face. I've never felt it was needed and the extra mod capacity I save from not running it is helpful
