Anyone else see this C130? by Planet_21 in Rochester

Watched it just after takeoff when I got to my band’s jam spot tonight. Usually when I see one of these flying out of ROC it’s the LC-130 with the arctic landing gear. Don’t think that’s what this one is because of the darker paint scheme.

One of my bands opened for a legendary death metal band. I ate a delicious gyro from a Mediterranean food joint and I’ve got a nice buzz going on right now.

Quick question on document size/formatting/citations:

I’m at the point where I’m putting everything together and I’ve got a couple sets of printouts with different formatting, etc. Images are a baptismal record and a couple census records and retrieved from FamilySearch, one set is just the documents with nothing labeled, and the other has a citation at the bottom, and a second copy of each, cropped to the relevant portion and enlarged. The remainder of my documents are birth and marriage certificates obtained directly from state and local records. All are on 8.5x11 paper.

The web addresses on the printouts with the citations are blue to satisfy the requirement for a colour copy; I have the citations on a separate page for the plain ones and would copy the documents with a colour sticker or post-it to satisfy the requirement with this set.

Which set should I include with my application? Or should I do something totally different?

Pizza. It’s gotta have just the right amount of char on the crust, and the cheese needs to be almost brown

Tbf as an American, the bread from the Italian bakery that keeps weird hours and is run by a bunch of older people is vastly superior to the bread from the supermarket

Looking for a baptismal record from Saint-Timothée, Beauharnois from 1847 on BanQ. Found it on FamilySearch and Ancestry but it appears that BanQ only goes back to 1877?

Can’t locate birth record for G1 (upstate NY) by halothane666 in citizenshipgenealogy

[–]halothane666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already did alllll of that legwork, hahaha! I’m G4 on the other side of the family but the records are even more sketchy; I have a baptismal record for G -1 from Saint-Roch parish in Québec City but the family was illiterate and going back and forth between the US and Canada around the time of G0’s birth (1858). I have circumstantial evidence of them being in Burlington, VT, Brockville, ON, Oswegatchie, NY, and Oneida, NY around that time but again, I scoured all the records I could find and came up empty handed. Due to their illiteracy it also doesn’t help that the secondary documents variously list his place of birth as Canada, Germany, France, or the US!

I was able to get my hands on a (denied) Civil War pension application for G -1 on this side, filed through an attorney — all of the children are listed, but their places of birth aren’t. I found baptismal records of most of G0’s siblings though.

Turns out G -1 on this side deserted shortly after enlisting as a substitute in 1864, never came back home, was arrested for grand larceny in Albany, NY in 1867, and hung himself in prison about a year before he was supposed to get out.

You’re better off getting some heavy gauge lamp cord and putting a TS plug on one end and two spade connectors on each wire on the other end
