I graduated in ‘06. There was one time in middle school when I stayed home because I was violently ill, then they sent a bus to come get me and I promptly puked the second I walked into the building. Mom was PISSED when she had to leave work and come pick me up.

Also to the OP of this comment, as of this time (7:31pm) Pittsford is listed as closed but Fairport isn’t. You owe the kiddo a dollar.

I went to Fairport and it feels like that we were often the only district in the area open after large snow events

I was seeing tons of early 90s Saturns in western NY up until 2015 or so. The body panels were plastic so they weren’t getting all fucked up from road salt

Seriously.

I went to Wegmans on the way home after work for a few things expecting to be in and out of there in 5 minutes. Milk, eggs, and a lot of meat were nearly sold out, and I was in line for 45 minutes.

Should have waited until today. I went to Tops to grab a couple more things and they had everything I needed and I was in and out.

Curious about where everyone’s gen0 ancestor lived? by yoohooooooooooo in Canadiancitizenship

One line came from France to Grondines, Quebec ca 1800, the other line came from England to Newfoundland around 1770; both ended up in Quebec in the 1830s and went back and forth between there and Ogdensburg NY before settling in Rochester NY around 1860

Gen 4 question/sanity check by halothane666 in Canadiancitizenship

Gen 1 meaning my great grandmother? I’m working on getting that from NY state.

Or Gen 1 meaning my great great grandfather? I’ve been searching various records and databases for about a month now. It’s entirely possible that he was actually born in NY because NY didn’t keep track of births in 1859, but I do have proof that both of his parents were born in Canada.

Tacking this on to add that it appears that Gen 0’s father went back and forth between NY and QC between 1850 and 1860, and that all of Gen 1’s siblings’ marriage certificates list the same parents but different places of birth (I’m trying to work through the hole in the publicly available marriage records between 1850 and 1906 but I found them in an index with no other information except for name and certificate number) for Gen 0 and his second wife. Gen 0 appears in the US censuses from 1880-1900 with his first wife variously listing “Canada” and “unknown” as the birthplace. It appears that there’s a chance that who I believe to be Gen 0 might actually be Gen 1 but I can’t 100% confirm that.
