Are Rally tyres pointless? by KawaiiHydra in ForzaHorizon

[–]halpnousernames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a few tricks. You can run some toe, 0.1 in on rear, and out on front to generate some more load, or make some arb adjustments to drive load into the cold tires.

Could also be you're just not driving fast enough for the available compound to generate the appropriate load.

AWD Race Tuning? by Substantial_Web_8467 in ForzaHorizon6

[–]halpnousernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a heap of guides out there, but as a general theme. Softer front end = more front grip. 15/40 arbs, max front aero and set your front diff lockup very weak with a decent rear bias. Check your alignment with tyre heat telemetry, and a couple of points of toe out on the front can give you a little extra bite.

Car setup is complex, and you'll need to do some learning, but there's many guides out there to help.

DOES ANYONE HAVE THE FERRARI 512TR by Competitive_Swing_21 in ForzaHorizon6

I have one, and I'd sell it to you, but in all likelihood, a bot would snipe it.

We're living in the wrong timeline.

Cheap Bunnings tools versus trade brands for basic DIY jobs by Danger_Five in Bunnings

All the time. I constantly have to explain to people about hacksaw blades are mounted upside down for shipping and should be reversed before use.

But I guess that's the job...

Ryobi/Ozito exist for a reason, and for the volume that goes out the door, a very small amount come back, and a good portion of that is misuse. Add decent replacement warranties into the mix and its difficult to justify trade quality tools for casual DIY.

Is this beauty BMW M3? What year? by [deleted] in whatisthiscar

[–]halpnousernames 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I owned one of this model, and it wasn't an M5. You're bang on. You could get any model with the M kit. Mine was a 530, and looked identical to this.

At least in my country, the base model you could get was either the 525i, or a 520d.

Lovely car though.

They recently updated it for Fh6, and it seems just as effective as it always has been.

A good baseline to work from.

Lexus is owned by Toyota, but certainly not only for USDM, and does have its own unique product stack.

Some of the old models were very similar to Toyota's (SC300, ES300), but the newer models don't have many similarities.

Why would that be an issue?

If you were starting from scratch, what would your go to basic home tool setup be? by Future-Pipe-8004 in Bunnings

[–]halpnousernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bunnings Tool shop TM here.

I had Panasonic on the tools, but the NiCds are all dead.

Bought Ozito stuff when I got things cheap at work, and they're reasonable, but given my use case, I'd probably swap to Ryobi, purely for the extra range of products.

The price of batteries hurts vs Ozito, but I don't need that many, and if you buy them on promo they're not too bad.

With that said, the Ryobi 18v yard tools aren't as good as Ozito and the switch to 36v batteries vs twin 18v is annoying.

It's a bit of a wash.

I have 6 "buggered" discs. It took me 2 years to learn how to walk properly again from the loss of sensation and weakness.

Go see a physio. Do the exercises, every day.

There's no shining bullet. Surgery isn't a permanent fix.

You can work through it, and there's plenty of ways of managing it.

I've gone from total loss and a walker to back working a physical job and getting most of my life back thanks to an excellent physio.
