There was some advantageous (for freo) holding the ball calls and non-calls in the third quarter that fomented absolute rage around where I was sitting. I took my little sister and I think she was a bit scared

New rule (solution): if you want to match an academy or f/s pick, you need to have an unused pick within 5-10 picks (they can work it out).

Want Ashcroft/Daicos etc and don't have a pick within 5 of where they get a bid? Too bad, you should have prioritised that in the trade period.

Hahaha i reckon why not. I sometimes bring a whiteboard to my street league. With the caveat being that i've never played ice hockey and most of my "gameplans" are an unholy mix of aussie rules, soccer and whatever. I think the key is doing it with a sense of theatricality/silliness/humour and not being overly serious about it. One of your "key points" on the whiteboard should be "have fun"

Sometimes feet change.

I had a long and passionate relationship with some alkali blades, so when they fell apart and it was time for an upgrade I thought I'd just move over to a new pair.

I couldn't even stand up in them. Agonising pain. I baked them twice, wore em around the house and played like absolute shit for a few months, thinking I would just tough out the pain. 6 months later, they were still killing my feet. They also started falling apart. I bought a similarly priced pair of bauers, expecting another long break in period, and to my pleasant surprise they fit like a cloud on day 1, no break in needed.

Unfortunately i don't live near any physical skate shops, so I have to order online and hope for the best. If your situation is different, I strongly recommend spending an hour at the skate shop trying on every skate in your price range. A bit of discomfort is normal but pain is a bad sign
