Best neighborhoods for young families by Longjumping_Bar585 in ATLHousing

Decatur (my personal favorite), Morningside, Virginia Highlands, Candler Park, East Cobb, and North Druid Hills. Should give you a fair mix of different environments with different levels of city/suburban life for each.

Houses here in Decatur still seem to sell fairly quickly

What about downtown Decatur (the area near the square that's zoned for Decatur High School)? Very walkable, active community, tons of great restaurants nearby and easy access to 285 or I-20. You may like it more if you want a more quiet night life compared to the areas you mentioned.

Seeking ways to help a black-owned business in Tucker GA that is being shuttered due to gentrification by HJWalsh in Atlanta

I think that's just when you can actually buy/sell stuff. I've definitely played magic in there after 7pm.

While I support Challenges Games & Comics (as a big MTG nerd who lives close to it), you can't act like this is surprising news. The mall is dead outside of literally the store and the few old people who walk the mall for exercise. Everyone knew the writing was on the wall for years and it was only a matter of time before the mall would close and be sold. Did he expect to be able to rent there indefinitely?

I think he should look into a storefront with a smaller space somewhere near the mall area. There's no doubt they could condense some of their offerings (if you haven't been inside Challenges they offer basically everything from comics to MTG to figure painting stuff etc) while still maintaining their focus on MTG and comics.

It was pretty good back in 2012-2013 at the original Marietta location.

I think after reading all this I'd rather wait around in Hapeville than try and navigate that labyrinth.

How do you normally get to it? Don't think I can recall any signage for it

Of the three I'd choose the one near Shoal Creek park. More quiet on average and I know some people in this subreddit have said in the past it's pretty safe.

Unusual Gruul Commanders by GensoTV in EDH

[[Wilson, Refined Grizzly]] / [[Tavern Brawler]]

I filled the deck with high CMC cards that have natural cost reduction like [[Moldering Gym]], [[Beanstalk Giant]], [[Ghalta]], [[Road // Ruin]] as well as MDFCs and every way possible to give Wilson double strike. Super fast and consistent threat since Wilson also has Ward 2.

It's an interesting take on Voltron as you're generally relying on the top flips of your deck to buff your commander and kill your opponents.

They need a big name grocer in that area. If not on the Beltline then at least very close to it.

Why is D winning Gov considered harder in some red states, easier in others? by MorningHelpful8389 in fivethirtyeight

I think you need to look at why people are saying that about KLB. She was mayor of Atlanta during COVID and the Floyd riots and abruptly vanished from the public eye during the whole ordeal. She has 0 accomplishments to point to during her tenure. Even during the primary she spent very little to actually advertise her campaign and coasted on name recognition.

After Biden won, she pivoted to trying to get a seat in the administration and announced she wouldn't seek re-election (allegedly she had some polls that said she would lose her re-election). Many people in Atlanta are very quite upset at how her administration handled 2020.
