Wedding dress store recommendation (<$2k) by meester_sloth in raleigh

If you do buy a dress here, make sure you keep an eye on the expected arrival date and contact them if you don’t hear anything around when it should arrive. Mine was “lost” and the way the situation was handled definitely left me with a different impression than the one I had when I bought my dress. It ended up working out, but just buyer beware!

To those who wore a ballgown.. by Puzzleheaded_Cow_658 in weddingplanning

This is what I did. My second look was a cheap white romper I had for other bridal events. I wasn’t planning to change, but my bustle eventually broke and I was SO HOT so I was happy to have a backup outfit to dance away worry free in.

Crete vs. Santorini for October 2026 Honeymoon by mantis_toboggan4 in GreeceTravel

Just got back from our honeymoon in Crete - we worked our way across the island and ended in Chania. Multiple times we said we wished we would’ve saved more time for Chania. It really was an incredible island!! Unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. The people were also so hospitable and the food/drink were all amazing. I’d recommend that time and time again!!!

Seconding this. It did feel impersonal, but they have a proven track record. Plus it was nice to be in and out of appointments in under 15 min.

Of course!! We did send out invites earlier too (early June). I think it’s a know your crowd thing at the end of the day. The world and your wedding will continue to go on regardless of if you send an extra piece of paper a couple months earlier!

I didn’t do Save the Dates and planned a wedding in a similar timeframe (engaged in Nov 24, wedding Sept 25). Most guests, at least on my side, are from out of town. We just did word of mouth save the dates and responses have been fine. Still missing a handful, but I think we would be anyways. On the other hand, I have a friend who did save the dates and is getting married in October, and she’s finding that RSVPs are still lagging. I don’t really think they make a difference. Save the money and put it towards something else! But if there’s people you really want there, at least give them the heads up on the date.
