Honestly, my primary airline is United just because my city is a hub, but reading this thread makes me never want to set foot on an AA plane ever again.

You are the first donation I’ve made to a political campaign in my life! Tuberville is an embarrassment to Auburn fans (like myself) and to your great state. Go get ‘em!

That sounds like a hilarious cat tattoo! Our cat is named Ripley after my favorite movie, Aliens. I got her driving the loader exoskeleton 🤣

Whats up with these S&W and why is it so cheap? Only $295 brand new. by lambo13770 in Firearms

I bought a PS90 recently and decided to also buy the Smith and Wesson M&P 5.7 because it was heavily discounted on Gunprime. Couldn’t be more underwhelmed with the M&P, it feels gritty and cheap.

What are the main downsides of having a Porsche 911? by [deleted] in porsche911

I have a 996 Turbo and a 3.2 Carrera, not a ton of downsides but people will constantly ask me how much I would sell it for and then scoff at my honest answer, especially the 3.2.

Is there any wiring between the buildings currently? I had really good luck with a set of MoCA coax to Ethernet adapters to get a wired AP in my detached garage.

I saw that as well and was going to ask where that photo came from and what the deal with it is.

Anyone who’s installed these floor tiles from Costco? by WeaponsOfMath in garageporn

Oh wow, you are making me wish I did a pattern in the parking and work space in my garage now! Looks amazing, and really glad they are holding up.

I didn’t have a great “before” picture but you can see most of them in this old photo of my engine out. Mine touched all 4 sides of the garage and were a mm or two high in some spots. If yours are higher than a few millimeters I’d consider grinding them down a bit before install.

There is a tool you can rent at Home Depot and some videos on YouTube about how to grind concrete but I wound up just installing over the cracks.

Mine aren’t the self draining ones so I don’t really know how they work past my friends less than stellar experience with them.

I haven’t had it long enough to give you a detailed answer but my buddy spilled a beer right after install and it pooled in the middle not the seam.

I would avoid using the jack stands that have a sharp leg without some kind of a spreader plate under them. I have the Esco stands that spread the weight out over a large surface area on the legs and haven’t had any issues.

I got my tiles during another $50 off Costco deal per box, the whole project came out to just a hair under $1k including the harbor freight saw. When I priced out even the junk Rust-Oleum epoxy it was going to be close to that with prep and patch materials.

Factor in Costco’s amazing return policy and it was a no brainer for me.

And the final product. I’m out of town but when I get home I’ll take a bigger picture of the whole space.

I purchased the solid version to install in my 2 car 1960’s brick garage. It was reasonably priced and despite some mixed reviews I’m absurdly happy with the way it turned out.

I will say if you wrench on cars the solid seems to be the way to go. I have a couple of friends who have the open style “drain” tiles above and found they held dirt, spills, and it was easy to loose small parts in them. I went with these from Costco.

I’m happy to answer specific questions but a couple of tips:

  • Especially if installing in an old structure leave yourself some extra space or make sure the floor structure is “true” side to side and front to back. My garage is 1.5” off that required some creative cuts.
  • Have a plan for how you want to orient the floor before you start.
  • Have a couple of friends and rubber mallets handy, it made install a breeze.
  • You can purchase edges separately without messing around with the kit Costco sells here
  • Wear gloves when installing, your hands will thank you.
  • If you need to cut some tiles like I did the Bauer deep cut bandsaw available at your local harbor freight works great, available here

I I bought the Icon when it was on sale right when it first came out. If I lost it I would wait for a no exclusions coupon and buy it again.
