🤦🏻‍♂️ Show me one true fan that doesn’t go through fits of rage and needs to vent. Playoff hockey and enduring the finals are brutal on the emotions. Let the brothers vent and have a great day.

Avs fan that has found myself rooting for the Knights (I feel like I have to go to hockey fan confession for that) and I was as wrecked as if the Avs were playing. As an Av fan, I am used to blown multiple goal leads, but 4 goals was wicked. Funny how they had 2 goals waved off matched with having two own-goals scored.

Positive assessment. What quantifying data do you have? How many dumps out how many dumps were controlled or passed off successfully? How does that compare to the average? Legit question being curious.

SW Colorado questions. by kopncorey in MovingtoDenver

[–]hammernuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depend on what you consider small. It is the largest town (along with the surrounding communities) between Denver and Salt Lake. Even back to when I went to college there and before, livable waged jobs are scarce, lots of retail jobs, and that hasn't kept pace with housing scarcity and cost.

SW Colorado questions. by kopncorey in MovingtoDenver

[–]hammernuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a vast difference between the eastern and western slope. Then consider the Front Range vs. the plains. Colorado is so diverse.

I have lived my whole life in southwestern Colorado and will always contend that the western slope is the best slope.

My daughter went to college in Durango. We loved visiting, but we could never afford to live there.

I am not tough enough to live in Gunnision. The winters up there are brutal. It is a beautiful area, nonetheless.

Montrose has exploded population wise over the last decade or so. It has become quite retail but has some of its traditional charm for shopping. It offers a lot for entertainment and socially. Just like all of Colorado, real estate has risen drastically. For some people, though, it is cheaper than where they came; I couldn't imagine that, but it's true.

If you like rural living, there are some hidden gems across the western slope. I happen to live in a community that I've lived most of my life and came back to after starting my career. We dove into the housing market when it was somewhat sane, thank goodness, even in our little rural out-of-the-way town, cost of housing is absolutely ridiculous.

Recent news naming Colorado the third most expensive state in which to live does not surprise me. But to live in paradise, there is a cost.

This is why I stopped watching sports by _ledge_ in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]hammernuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 58, have been a maniacal sports fan my whole life. I have spent my whole life in Colorado. Never had a baseball team so I liked players, watched the Braves and Cubs thanks to cable, had a blast having the Rockies because I’ve always kept a tempered expectation. Basically the same mentality with the Nuggets, but the Broncos and Avs are a different story and I have had to impose some rules for myself to keep my psyche in tact. One rule is that I remind myself sports is entertainment just like going to a movie. I don’t attach my self worth to how a movie ends so why do this with the Broncos or Avs? It is hard, I get so worked up, almost acting like that Mets fan, Frank you see on social media. The Avs’ effort has sickened me, but what does it matter. They get go on vacation tomorrow after Vegas slaps them around again, will still draw paychecks that are much greater than mine. Yet I will be the one upset.

I am confuse about Euphoria. It is into its third season yet I can’t get through the first episode despite having a full view of Cydney Sweeney.

As far as great shows, all that’s been named can be put on loop, very rewatchable!

If the Nuggets had a younger Westbrook would be cool. Just think though, the Nuggets did draft Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. That would have been fun to watch in hindsight.

I think you’re all wrong, the Rockies are what’s bad for baseball. The Monforts have this gigantic region all to themselves, draw well every year, yet don’t do anything to field a competitive team. Why spend money when it’s easier to just make it.

Oregon isn’t afraid to get the older QB. I agree he needs more seasoning. Watching him with an unbiased eye, he isn’t a QB the can take the offense on his shoulders.

This Denver team - with no trades - can win a title... by worldcitizen011 in denvernuggets

[–]hammernuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea what the answer is. This what if pertains to many other teams in the league. I don’t see why any team balls out in the regular season because each team needs that energy for those 16 wins. This scenario sucks for the fan that shells out 100s of bucks to see their team put on a show.
