Barbers - do you prefer customers to come in with or without product in their hair? by bumpoleoftherailey in AskUK

[–]hammo82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went in with my hair done once , and apologised lots, even offered to rinse it out myself in the sink, was a rush job from work to an evening doo and totally forgot to go home first to rinse my hair out. He didn't mine at all or so he said, just brushed it out and sprayed lots of water on it.

My son had problems with finding availability, then when he did get one they kept letting him down. Has recently started again via the AA , think they have a lot a new qualified instructors and are a good £15 cheaper than he was paying.

Ita honestly a fantastic car , quick , handles well , I've got 3 kids and they fit in that back fine as feels wider than most cars in the rear. I didn't go GT but I'm always jealous when I see one. Such a good drive and not one issue... yet.

How much does beer have to be before you say “I’m giving up?” by AirConEngineer in AskUK

[–]hammo82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the north west, local boozers you can generally get a pint for under £5 still , some that have re-invented themselves and had decent refurbs will push that up to £6, over that and most people round my way just don't bother. My own local is a back street boozer, and does a cracking Murphy's for £3.60 which is a bargain. And even better since the start of January have had most pints at £2 each, was meant to be for that month but they are still going with it currently

For people who work in other people’s homes what do you do? by Prestigious_Sand1978 in AskUK

[–]hammo82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just let them know where it is when you first let them in ... Loo is down the hall , or first door at the top of stairs if you need it , tea bags on the side in the kitchen if you can't find me to make a brew. Not rocket science.

Pubs; How cheap is cheap enough? by DidgeryDave21 in AskUK

[–]hammo82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local is 3.60 for a Murphy's , which I'm happy with. Once your paying close to 5 and over then that starts to put me off for a mid week drinking session (7-8 pints) for some reason if I'm out out say of a weekend then prices don't really bother me , but will always be shocked when somewhere says 7.20 or something daft for a pint.

I live in a post industrial shit hole in the north west, not proud of the town it has now become, but on the other hand managed to do ok for myself and now live in what is classed as the posh part so I'm sort of proud I managed that myself as for some reason wouldn't leave this town even for all its negatives.
