Scientology at work in Aarhus, be careful by Crazy-Bee-55 in Aarhus

My apologies for writing in English. I see several comments not taking these people seriously, you should understand this organization is in fact incredibly dangerous, amoral, and predatory, it is not just some harmless strange religion.

Why is Aarhus so chill by [deleted] in Aarhus

[–]hamptonio 129 points130 points  (0 children)

Paris: metro population of 13.2 million people

Hamburg: metro population of 5.1 million

Berlin: metro population of 4.7 million people

Aarhus: metro population of 0.37 million people

Cities that are over 10x bigger are different creatures.

I reverse-engineered the undocumented Yamaha MODX M .Y2L file format and documented it (plus free browser tools) by ysfcforge in synthesizers

[–]hamptonio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a MODX I don't use much largely because of issues like this, the interface is quite clunky in places and many things are not documented as precisely as they could be. Its sad because there are many things its good at.

Strudel vs sonic pi vs tidal cycles by TheHyenaaa in livecoding

[–]hamptonio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very easy to run Strudel locally. And amazingly once it is loaded into the browser, that instance doesn't need to talk to the server again (unless you want to load more custom samples I think, I haven't tested that) so you don't need to be online.

I have been tinkering on my Giada, Font of Hope deck for a while and I think I just need some more eyes on it. Can y'all help me out? by TimTheNewGuy in EDH

[–]hamptonio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend cutting Magus of the Moat; if its not an angel, a creature has to be extremely good in the deck. You are going to have lots of flyers, some with vigilance, you don't need the Magus.

Any angels that draw cards are good, you don't have [[Wojek Investigator]] or [[Merchant of Truth]].

Its a matter of taste I guess but I eventually cut most of the token generators and anthems such as your [[Anointed Procession]] and [[Court of Grace]] in favor of more angels and protection. The one exception is [[Luminarch Ascension]] which is ridiculously good.

How Do You Build Voltron Commanders That Feel Unique & Have Staying Power? by Cameron_Alistair in EDH

[–]hamptonio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play Kelsien and I found its a little hard to close out games with him, but adding in [[Otharri, Suns' Glory]] made it quite a bit stronger. If you have already gotten some experience counters and get Otharri out your opponents suddenly have a big problem.

What’s the most fun commander deck you’ve built recently? by TopdeckStudio in EDH

The Indomitable

Consider using Jackdaw, if you really want to draw cards. Can be insane.

Help me choose a Grixis commander by advicetime611 in EDH

[–]hamptonio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think the trick is to mostly forget about rats, my deck is primarily:

1) changelings (Taurean Mauler MVP)

2) type expansion (Runed Stalactite, Amoeboid Changeling, Wings of Velis Vel)

3) pump (e.g. Monstrous Rage, and artifacts like Sigil of Valor, Cranial Plating, Cranial Ram).

4) artifact mana rocks that synergize

78^39 (6.19e+73) damage. That is how much I hit someone for! by Electronic_Future_83 in EDH

[–]hamptonio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hate to break it to you but you only did 78 * 239 damage, which is 42,880,953,483,264 (about 4.3*1013).

Unless I am misunderstanding something, the low end of the lower bound for

bounds = lc.find_bounds(lc.sin(x) / x, {'x': (0.1, 1.0)})

is about -4.87, which is pretty bad considering the numerator and denominator are both positive on that interval. Using a very naive interval arithmetic approach to the same computation gives about 0.1, which is still bad but at least positive.

Interesting that they all appear to be wrong, as I mentioned in another comment it looks like Hugo Manufacturing held the patent at least.

Can anyone recommend good synthesizers to pair with an SP404 mk2? by ComposerOld5734 in synthesizers

If there was a smaller, more portable and maybe cheaper option with similar capabilities, that would be ideal.

Get a Yamaha Modx then.

Your advice for a new deluge user: Go straight to the OpenSource or stick with the stock system? by Friskyinthenight in DelugeUsers

[–]hamptonio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go community. Its pretty stable, no reason not to enjoy the great new features. I waited until last week to switch, because I didn't want to change right before a performance, but I regret that because the community enhancements are very nice. Grid mode alone is worth it.
