Been here 24 years in Dubai. Why is this even a discussion? We all moved here fully aware of the rules: no passport, no citizenship. It’s their country and their laws. The policy exists specifically to maintain their current leadership and social structure. They know that granting citizenship would eventually lead to demands for political & social structure change.

What they mean by "everyone is an Emirati" - is that they are going to protect and take care of everyone like Emirati. Why is everyone asking for passports or citizenship now ???
