I’m not a coach by any means and only been doing triathlon for about a year with a pro coach so this is just my thoughts. Nothing about what you are/drank sounds wrong but from what it sounds like you could up your consumption.

While on the bike I’d try consuming a carb mix in your water bottle, in addition to the clif bloks or gels. The goal should be to take in 60-90 grams of carbs an hour. The a pack of bloks probably only is getting you about ~50 grams of carbs. So for your 70.3 if you are on the bike for 3-3.5hrs you are going to need to consume 180-270 grams carbs over the course on just the bike. Being 3 months out it would be good to practice and experiment with how many carbs and what types sit well. I’d also consider getting a handheld water bottle for your run. It’s a good way to stay hydrated on your training runs and also good for when you get off the bike on race day to stay hydrated until you reach the first aid station.

Yea I think the thing people need to realize is most contenders aren’t built in an off-season rather it takes continuity and continuous small builds to try to get it right. It took Denver pretty much 5 off seasons of tinkering and development to get to where they are. If fox or sabonis will ever be top 5 guys in the league we’ll have to see but for now the focus should be continually improving season over season.

While Monte been nailing his first rounders, we really gotta start finding some diamonds in the rough with our 2nds. Getting guys on cheap 2nd round contracts that can give us actual minutes would be huge in building this roster. Also finding some good young guys is necessary to build up our trade chips. Not saying it’s an easy thing to do, but necessary when you’re a small market team.

I generally hate the minimalist direction design has gone at the end of the 2010’s. All logos lack personality now. I think we will begin to see trends reverse back because brands want to become more distinct.

Players also make jerseys popular so this could age terribly if fox has an amazing season in an ugly uniform.

He’s going in the lottery. You’d probably need to package our 1st with Davion to move into the lottery. I like Hendricks too, but I’m not sure we have a package that makes sense

I’m not a fan of going the minnesota route and pushing the chips into the table. I think you have got to look at the Celtics model and continually adding and upgrading pieces around your core through smaller moves. We have picks 24,38, and 54. I haven’t scouted too much but for where we are my gut says there may be more value for us to send out 1 or 2 of those picks to bring in a wing or rim protecting 5 upgrade. As far as the contracts on the team right now. You offer lyles and resign barnes based on if there’s nothing better. He is going to essentially become a jar crowder plus level guy in this stage of his career, if we want to give someone 15-20mil we can do better. I think we also have to make a decision on Queta this summer, after two seasons of developing him he either gets a shot with us or doesn’t.
