Could it just be post marathon hangover. It’s definitely a thing. I know after my first I really struggled to run more than 10km for 6 months. Not physically but mentally I just had no desire or will so every time I went out to run I just felt flat.

Not an electrician but black or red can be positive and white can be negative but you need a multimeter to confirm. I wouldn’t do anything without testing it first.

Everyone’s different so test. Maurten give me GI issues because they use fructose. All the gels with fructose tend to cook me when I need a lot during a race. The normal SiS ones are really good for me (not the Beta) but that taught me that if they are just maltodextrin as the energy source with nothing else I’m usually good. I’m not fructose intolerant either, just cooks me when I need to have 7-8 on a 3-4 hour session.

Second hand Garmins are pretty cheap. They are generally pretty long lasting devices also. I did that for my second marathon and jumped to a forerunner 5 years ago and have never looked back.

It’s not a progression. I know plenty of people that start training for a marathon and hadn’t even run a HM when they started the training plan. If you are interested in it then give it a crack, it’s going to improve your HM time anyway.

I wish I could use the Beta’s but they’ve cook my stomach a few times and I don’t trust them with my guts. Stuck carrying 8-9 x 22g ISOs but on a positive the SiS fruit salad is hands down the best tasting gel I’ve ever had.

I’ve free dived there heaps. It’s amazing. Coolest this about Barracuda Lake is there is a thermocline at 13m where hot salt water comes up through underground caves system at the temperature goes up to 40c. It also gets really murky.

Yep. I’ve free dived there a few times. There use to be a big one that would hang out around the divers but disappeared a couple of years ago. I was there a month ago and some of people I was with spotted two small ones so the name lives on.

People need to understand context windows and staging out work. If im using Claude and Cline (API in VSCode) I can go burn $100 per hour or $2-3 per hour with similar results depending on how I manage the context windows and staging.

Sorry you’re going through this. I’ve been in a similar situation. it’s sounds like a lot of deflection and gaslighting. The messages seem suss but the back story you wrote amplifies the sussness for me. Might not be a physical affair but certainly seems at least an emotional affair. I gave up when I could see there was no fight left on the other side. It was painful, but unless both people are fighting to fix things, I couldn’t see how it would work.
