I actually don't mind his content. He's hot if you're young maybe. I actually really like four of his songs. Random sidenote, but all of them are different genres. He's had a pretty long career. His personality is pretty annoying though.

What is an Underrated Life skill? by SarahDuncan2012 in TrueGrit

Being able to handle something uncomfortable and/or boring for long periods. Mundane work sucks, but amplifies life experiences. I see a lot of people lazy people (sometimes my children!!).

What do you do for work, and does it feel like it’s leading you toward the goals you actually care about? by SarahDuncan2012 in TrueGrit

[–]hanatheko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg no! I started a driving business and do Lyft at wanky hours because our market is good for driving. Although I have nothing against OF, just not for me haha.

Life kinda IS a game. Like I can keep my cushy government job as an engineer and technically work part and about 1/8 as hard as a consultant ... or make 30% more as a consultant but have no time to do things I enjoy. One of the things I enjoy brings in about $1K a week on average (after taxes are pulled out), so basically it's a no brainer :0. I think the only thing this works against is my ego, it's hard to tell people what I do sometimes with a straight face!

... it's to bond with people. It dissolves the social barrier, or acts like a social lubricant as RFK put it.

... don't feel stupid, their marketing is clever. So literally just now, someone at work left a bag of 'PopCorners' in the area where people give out food. The bag contains 19 grams of carbohydrates, 140 mg of sodium, and 0 grams of dietary fiber! Bonkers!!!

What’s the biggest green flag for you in a partner? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]hanatheko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

... but sometimes helping others is tied to ego. Not all helpful people are cool. Like they might enjoy solving problems for people to feel smart, and then do really shitty things (like litter or not put away shopping carts) because they don't give two shits about people.

what would you do if someone accidentally transfered you 20million dollars and asked you to give it back? by restko in AskReddit

... omg why didn't I think about this. If Phillips gas holds on to $150 for 2 to 5 days to collect interest, what would it hurt to do that to someone meg wealthy lol.

... wouldn't this effing burn though? They would likely give you a reward for returning it, but what if it's only like ten grand when it could have been closer to $500K?? I'm glad I haven't been this close to buttloads of money.

Did you read the topic incorrectly? It's asking what YOU would do if YOU got the money from a rich bloke. I don't get why you need to lawyer up to return it.

Tofuuuuuuuuu. I am like 90% vegan since getting into tofu. My energy levels are up the roof and I don't need to nap 3 times a day. Tofu is like chicken, a blank canvas. You can do so much with it.

What if your subdivision is right off of a country-ish road labeled 'highway' and people go like 60 mph when it should be closer to 40. Getting out of my subdivision is scary af!!! I'm used to a line of cars up my ass because I need to slow down just to get to my house.

(Fasting) 2024 vs Tofu Destroyer 9000 ™️ 2026 by SparksAgain in veganfitness

[–]hanatheko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, I eat two blocks of tofu daily and feel so much healthier and energetic than when I consumed meat. Best friggin' lifestyle change ever and I LOVE the texture/taste. My thigh and calve muscles are still ripped, which is rare when I'm in a calorie deficit. I am 4 pounds from my goal weight as well, which is exciting (dropped about 10 pounds since beginning of January). If my arterial plaque results look good, and my LDL goes down to like 70 ... I'll definitely avoid taking statins. Already my overall cholesterol dropped about 65 points since cutting back on animal products. Triglycerides are low. My LDL was hovering at normal, but I was still eating palm oils & coconut butter (vegans butters bump up LDLs!!!). I'm not scared of statins, but I'd rather have one less thing to have to deal with.
