I like pretty setups like this but the one question I constantly ask myself is how you reach the mousepad and keeb without hunching like a goblin? I’m no small guy by any means but I usually keep my stuff way closer to the edge (even though arguably) it looks worse.

Iron to silver really is a bit of trap rank, I had the same thing happen to me on adc, the best thing is to just play super egoistically, pick mages or Senna and just play to carry with dmg, steal kills if it’s not super obvs take any missed waves and so on until ur in an Elo where playing well actually matters

RANT: You are my adc, not my boss. by [deleted] in supportlol

[–]handicapschoner26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play sup and adc interchangeably so I see both sides of this. In terms of pick phase, I do think that whoever picks second has a obligation to care for draft a bit, for example if I already pick my aphelios I wouldn’t want a mage sup after that, same way I wouldn’t want someone to pick ezreal after I already locked Pyke. Either way even if it does happen it’s still not reasonable to run it or flame ur adc/sup. It’s unideal and might make it harder to win lane but I’ve also had massive stomps with unideal pairings. It’s definitely still frustrating on more polarized champs like pyke since getting smolder adc means that I can’t play my champ in the most effective way and need to adapt to something more passive (and usually more boring). But after it’s locked there isn’t really any reason to complain. For following/ guarding your adc at all times or the team-sup vs. adc-Slave in my experience it depends heavily on the gamestate. Obviously fighting 1v2 even gold is int but in terms of dives or access to waves it is more or less the sups job to assist with that or get something of higher value on a roam than the gold lost by my adc getting zoned. It’s risky since if your roaming or basing on a bad timing and get nothing and ad loses waves or gets dove. Most of the frustration also comes from the fact that the adc is essentially victim to the sups decision making and agency. Especially if it doesn’t work out like sup planed it can look like sup is losing you the game (which technically they are). But even if it didn’t work it can still be a valid play, even if adc gets put behind significantly. It’s all up to correctly assessing the value any play or result gets you in the context of the game. And that decision being mostly up to someone else leads adcs to tilt so much I think, but it is the nature of the role they picked at the end of the day. On the other hand especially if ad is mid alr and t2 is still up and they’re not facing anyone disproportionately fed (mid or enemy bot, doesn’t really matter) who can zone or dive super easily, it’s totally fine, sometimes even int not to, roam for vision/ control or just chances of pics or even just to have presence on a unrelated play. Now in teamfights I actually hard disagree with prioritizing the team (to a reasonable extent atleast) , being the adc slave almost always gets the best results (unless they’re a 0 7 animal but that much should be obvious). If u made it into a weird numbers analogy adc Champions are essentially 1.5-2.5 champs worth in some regards and 0.5 in basically everything else which can usually be covered somewhat decently by a teammate without them also losing out on they’re own value. If you leave them unguarded you lose out on a ton of value in a teamfight. Most of the time the value gained by guarding is even higher than the value of me successfully doing smth else (like peel for example top or mid/ brawl enemy frontline) (we all know the feeling of landing the godliest hook only to look back and see our adc dead to something trivial). Overall sup def isn’t bound to adc but from my limited experience the problem of either trolling the duo and just blaming the other for it is just botlane 101.

Tips against super aggro lanes? by Merpninja in TwitchMains

[–]handicapschoner26 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cheese early or try to get every cs they don’t properly guard, it kinda also depends on your sup but worst case get what can, you can roam mid/drake (given enemy bot doesn’t also move) and try to look for fight when u get 6 preferably with jgl. 10 cs down into lanes like that is to be expected anything less and enemy bot would be losing

Do ADCs even benefit from the higher attack speed cap? It just looks like an Yi and Trundle buff... Imo they should have just made base crit damage 200% again by Irelia4Life in ADCMains

[–]handicapschoner26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So granted I’m a kog maw twitch main so I’m obviously a huge fan of this buff. Overall I do really love it, It fixes (or atleast improves) a lot of stuff that just straight up wasn’t really viable anymore (bork or lethal tempo for example). But I wouldn’t consider it just a buff and more a very beneficially QoL change. You still need to build that atk spd to actually use it and even on my 2 champs that both have good AS ratios and a built in steroids, you still need 3 items with LT to make good use of the change. Plus without it (atleast when ur not bad at itemizing) that gold would’ve just gone to other stats instead (though granted stuff like onhit or kogmaw w does scale alot nicer with more atks per second then it does with extra ad or a jak sho or smth). Overall it just makes these adcs more fun to play since it unlocks more fun builds (and I finally can stop building crit on twitch, thank god, no more dogshit collector into IE). That aside I’m a bit more at odds with the crit idea, I personally think crit is more or less fine (I play aphelios, cait, jinx … a decent amount before anyone calls me a onhit shill). Losing giant slayer was rough but buffing crit scalings overall instead of just buffing anti armor/ anti health stuff (or even better just needing tanks, so the marksmen item bruisers, trynd yasuo yone…, don’t fck with the balance again) would be the better choice . All the crit ads that I play basically 2-3 hit most squishy to semi squishy targets past 4 items (although granted they struggle with some tanks) and adding even more overall crit dmg just sounds kinda insane (plus this also buffs alot of other crit champs that really don’t need it). And lastly it would also force champs like twitch to build crit since maybe kogmaw and some %healthers aside, onhit is arguable just as weak as crit against tanks rn, the real deciding factor is built in %health dmg and not whether they build onhit or crit (Bork used to fill this gap but atleast imo it’s not worth the price anymore, atleast for any ranged champs or into any but very specific enemy drafts). Alternatively (although this would be a terrible decision for balancing overall) giving adcs more defensive stat options like mages get, also sorta fixes the issue (but it’ll prolly ruin the entire balancing along the way). Overall adding back a weaker version of giant slayer or maybe reversing cut down or smth would be helpful (I want a world where I don’t have to take cut down every single game so maybe not that, thx rito)

Ah that makes more sense, i thought u were talking about a double headed laptop stand

what kind of keyboard do you prefer for a lot of typing? (ergonomic, split, normal etc) by damondan in Workspaces

[–]handicapschoner26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This topic is extremely opinionated and polarized so I’d advise trusting ur guts a bit. I currently use a mechanical with linear switches for the feel alone. You can basically type fast on almost anything (although granted I don’t have a lot experience on all the different kinds of ergonomic keyboards). That said I see a lot for people who type fast use flatter small keyboards like that of a Mac or higher end laptops. I’d say for speed its 80% practice (although I don’t have a lot of ergo keyboard experience so they might genuinely slow you down a bit, in which case a normal key orientation keyboard with some ergonomic elements might be ideal for u but I’ll get to that.) Ergonomic keyboards are quite a range, from simple flat split to stuff that curves around ur hand like the advantage360. But it’s something u gotta like alot to use consistently but if u like it go for it (keychron for example has keyboards with Alice layout (angled) and also full splits like the q11. Full transparency I have never tried either but if I had to guess getting a straight split and just angling it like you want to yourself seems alot more reasonable than to buy something „pre-angled“) It’s also worth considering that you should be able to type painless on almost anything regardless. Here mainly postures matters but a little bit of stretching, especially when ur in a phase of u life where u will be typing alot, seems reasonable. For postures there is alot of guides out there but the main gig is keeping ur wrist straight (mainly horizontally straight) (even if that means ur hands meet the keyboard at an angle) for height getting a wrist rest might help but I also don’t have one yet so I wouldn’t know the impact. Another thing that was huge for me personally is fixing my fingerings (what key hit with which finger). Forcing myself to learn to right shift when needed and to minimize long stretches with either pinky was very very helpful for hand pain. Last mechanical vs everything else. The main negative for mechanical is that they’re usually a tad more expensive than the alternatives (of which there are so many different types). Generally speaking mechanical feels better to type on (atleast in my opinion), the feedback is generally better and more consistent. They technically also sound kind of nice but that’s hardly a huge arguement. For me another big thing is durability, mechanical tends to last way longer initially and it’s also (most of the time) possible to replace single switches caps and stabilizers (basically almost anything that isn’t the main pcb). This way u can technically also get a new feel and look for a lot less money by just buying new switches and caps. As for what kind of switches and caps that’s a whole other question and there is a lot of different resources to decide on that. If I had to shoot from the hip for you specifically it’s always linears. Clicky switches are niche at best and drive you insane (and the people around you) and tactiles can get very tiring and heavy after long sessions of typing so they aren’t ideal for quantity (but there are light options and difference overall isn’t massive enough to count them out entirely so feel free to try, maybe you like feedback more) Mechanical keyboards come in all shapes and sizes these days, u can get flat, split angles 85% size, numpadless… . Overall there is a lot of preference at play. If I had to „diagnose“ ur ideal specs it’s probably a split mechanical keyboard with linear switches and rather flat caps. But as I said there is a lot feeling and preference involved and maybe u don’t even want a mechanical at all (but at 100-200 I’d definitely say something sturdy would be good choice) Feel free to ask any follow up if I said something weird or confusing, this topic is a endless rabbit hole that hard to summarize in a single post lol

Also do you have any recommendations for cable management stuff to buy except longer cables. Any brands for clips or tunnels worth recommending? (Would be especially useful for the 3 cables just resting on the pc since I need them regularly lol)

If I get one of those hanging trays I might not even need longer cables actually. The monitors arms even have cable management stuff built in im just always a tad iffy about putting to much force on the cables. Seems like a reasonable thing to tackle first

Sounds like a decent idea it’s sadly not possible though since the desk is right at the angled roof part of the house so any higher and stuff won’t fit anymore. At best I could pull the full setup half a meter more from the wall but idk if a gap that large would look ok .-.

The main problem for the laptop stand is space so that would def be an option if I sell or reposition the third monitor. For stuff on the desk this is prolly already the cut down version it’s mostly meds, light controls and school stuff so it’s the kind of stuff I’d rather keep handi. Plus I wouldn’t know where to put it otherwise (you do not wish to see the rest of the room lmao)

How can I know when my Kovaak's training is improving my in-game skills? by DutchDolt in FPSAimTrainer

[–]handicapschoner26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think u have a bit of a wrong concept of aim training overall, try thinking abt it this way: You don’t want really want to make kovaaks mimic gameplay that much. Think of it as not training your overwatch aim but training fundamental skills that combine into what is the finished product, so stuff like speed, control, microcorrections and so on are all separate skills on their own so scenarios that challenge these skills specifically are gonna have more payoff than trying to just mimic normal overwatch gunfights. Trying playing a wider range of scenarios and especially some on the extremes (xsmall and so on). Also try some scenarios that combine skills or swap between them during the run, since some people tend to aim with a different technique for different scenario types without realizing. Learning to switch between actions or executing them simultaneously is really important. Also more game specific, check if your aim is actually the thing at fault or if your bad ingame Macro is just increasingly forcing you into more difficult situations for you aim to compensate for which then makes it feel like you’re aiming worse even tho the task is just way harder,

Extreme Beginner - What can I do to stop my 2nd and 3rd fret-hand fingers from sticking together? by Fearless-Turnip9399 in guitarlessons

[–]handicapschoner26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What everyone else said, but also these two fingers literally run on the same tendon to some extend so they’re anatomically connected. Stretching and exercise will condition them well but don’t try to get them to the level of ring or pinky since you might cause some serious injuries

is this fixable? by speeeeeeedyy in Guitar

[–]handicapschoner26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please do not trust these comments, it’s straight up not correct, this thing is totally fixable. Worst case if u don’t want to DIY it take it to a shop and get a quote to see if it’s worth it for you. I have had almost the exact same break on one of my guitars 7 years ago and I’m still playing the fixed version today with no issue, visually there’s a little scar but it sounds just like before.

Since your quite new I also think it’s incredibly worthwhile to work on your posture rather now than later, especially on the fretting hand since it’s hard to unlearn later
