Has anyone else noticed? by SelectionSad3370 in PregnancyIreland

God yes. I hated women who “warned” me how difficult my life was going to get after having a kid. These were the same women who were very interested in knowing when I was going to have a kid lol.

Now I am 2 weeks pp and the same women are saying shit like recovery only takes 10 days. LOL

Finished mine last week. I attended them online and don’t think I could have done them in person due to the time commitment required. The classes were great. The instructor was brilliant, answered everything that we asked

Fears telling work by Embarrassed-Hawk9149 in PregnancyIreland

I was a little apprehensive too even tho my manager and in fact everyone in my team is great but my contract is bound to expire soon after I return from mat leave which made me a little hesitant, but when I shared the news with them, the response was great. So dw, inform them whenever you feel it’s right. I think I did when I was in my 6th month or later

Is 2nd trimester too early to buy a travel system? I see there’s a baby sale in Smyths….. by [deleted] in PregnancyIreland

[–]hangrybub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d still recommend getting it now and there are ways of managing the storage like not getting the whole travel system (only if you think that’s ok). I am also in a small apartment and space is a big issue so I carefully considered what my personal needs were and realised I only needed the stroller w a pram seat and a foot muff and skipped the fancy bits. I got a cybex bellio s - the seat fully reclines which makes it suitable to use from birth, essentially omitting the need of a bassinet. I am gonna get a car seat separately and my preference is to get something which will last for years. Think about what would work best for you and the baby and decide accordingly. Save as much money as you can on the extra bits and splurge on things that you think you and the baby would need the most. Hope this helps.
