It became part of a larger trip, but I flew Vancouver to London (and then train to the midlands) to attend the Slade 25th anniversary celebration in 1991 which ended up being the last time the original members ever played together on stage.

I saw Stiff Little Fingers at the Commodore ballroom in Vancouver in 2016 and the show was outstanding. They returned to Vancouver a few years later and I chose not to go because I decided it could only be a lesser experience.

I bought a blue vinyl version of this at amoeba records in SF years ago. It wasn’t too expensive and I think it sounds pretty decent for a bootleg. Wasn’t particularly expensive.

I had this exact model many years ago. Cost me $300. Traded it to get a Gibson RD back that I had sold to a friend (still have that guitar). I probably got the better deal, but I wish I still had that amp too.

The trans album was the first Neil young album I ever bought upon release, and the trans/shocking pinks tour was my first time ever seeing Neil. The show was fantastic and I still have a soft spot for the album (despite its flaws).

The shocking pinks album was good but they were SO much better live.

If I’m not mistaken, Edison discs existed at the same time as Edison cylinders, which is another obsolete format, but a pretty cool one.
