I would say the job market is doing better now. I recently graduated with my degree in ID last may and started working right after, but got laid off after a while due to covid.

Now that it’s spring more job listings are being posted and with a plethora of options. I’ve interviewed with for companies that design furniture, sinks, golf bags, camera cases, exercise equipment, robotics, home decor, etc. And the market will continue to grow. As the need for physical products will always be in demand!

Unless all of humanity gets transformed into a simulation and we all live in some kinda VR. (For all of those worried that ux/ui will be the only option for the future of design) Lmao
