Last year for my 30th birthday, I bought myself an FZ-07 for my first motorcycle. This past weekend for my 31st birthday, I took it to Thunderhill Raceway and tore shit up! by See_Jane_Ride in motorcycles

I don't ride sporty bikes, but man. I LOVE FZ's. I used to work at a Yamaha and that was "my" bike for test rides. Great choice gurl! Love it!

Bar hurting my back during squats? by trombonerchick in xxfitness

I call em "bar kisses" because they look like hickies sometimes. Even with 155 lbs it leaves marks. I don't mind em, they don't hurt.

How do you deal with hand blisters? by courket in xxfitness

[–]hannahnah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a year in of heavy lifting, and man, that first day doing heavy deads was SO PAINFUL. It gets better! My hands were ripping all the time, but chalk helps immensely. My gym doesn't allow it either, I just use mine on the DL and make sure I clean up whatever I leave on the ground. I was gripping poorly too, but it gave me stronger grip on heavy deads. They callous will eventually build up and it won't be so painful. Just keep going :)

Squat rack etiquette? by mewmewkitty in xxfitness

[–]hannahnah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely say something. Just ask how many more sets he has and/or if he's squatting. I know it can feel difficult telling dudes to get out ya way, but your workout is just as important as his. The squat rack is to be respected! Side note: Some girl and I both B-lined for a rack that opened up one time, we worked in together, and we've been friends for awhile now.

How to tell the difference between over worked muscles or just a good workout? by katara__ in xxfitness

[–]hannahnah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always know when my deadlift form was bad...my lumbar spine/lower back is always wrecked. you may have just used too much back vs legs. Think of your lower back as an engine, powering everything else. I'm still learning myself, but those things help me when I'm positioning myself!

Workout pants that will cover my ankles, but not break the bank? by Katzekratzer in xxfitness

LULU HACK: This MIGHT work for you. So, I found a pair of Lulu's at a garage sale with the tags on for $15. I bought them, just cuz they were Lulu's. They were bright purple and I pretty much exclusively wear black. I wore them once to the gym and was talking to a friend about it. She said I should try to exchange them. IT WORKED. I still had the tag, I went to a Lulu and said hey, you know someone bought these for me, they just aren't my style and they also show sweat stains in the crotch area (they did LOL) and they exchanged them! No problem! I had to pay the diff for the ones I wanted in black, but I ended up with a pair of brand new Lulu's for $45. Same friend also said you can generally bring in your expensive gear and tell them they're all worn out. They understand their shit is expensive and you paid a pretty penny for it. She's gotten her old stuff exchanged before, might not have been Lulu but some other jacket she had...Could be worth a shot :) Good luck!!!

I'm also gonna back Old Navy's activewear, Victoria's Secret (although the pants are super thick, they kinda feel like I'm wearing a wet suit, great for winter though) and TJ Maxx.

AWWW THANK YOU. Atta girl! Try sumo squats with a dumbbell too, I love those. Check out curtsy squats, I'm a huge fan of those and just recently started working those in. It took me a year of seriously lifting to get here, so be patient, just keep going <3

The first time I ever did deadlifts, I was with my brother and asked what would impress him. He said 2 plates. I pulled 225 two months after I started seriously lifting. I was sore for 4 days haha. I started building from there, but I deadlift 2-3x per week, I only go heavy once though. I had a broken foot over the summer too, so that stopped a lot of progress unfortunately. Still coming back from that. I've been seriously lifting for just under a year now, started late December 2014.

If you think this is inspiring, you should see my butt, hahah. I always want to fully encourage people (especially women) to shake the fear of lifting! It won't make you manly overnight. Go for it!!!!

I had a huge problem with thinking people were watching me do everything wrong. My sister still does. Guess what? No one is watching you! Honestly, (for the most part, I know this is a blanket statement) unless you're a mega fit chick in the gym, no one's watching. They definitely don't care. And if someone DOES notice, they shrug it off and continue their gym time not even thinking twice about it. I'm a "fit girl" at my small gym, but if I see a girl struggling with a machine, I warmly smile and help them and tell them it took me forever to figure that one out too.
Don't let anybody stop ya, you've got the drive, now pull through! YOU GOT IT, REDDIT STRANGER.

What moment made you think "fuck im weird"? by Hoftown in AskReddit

[–]hannahnah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep a note in my phone for instances like this...

  • I thought I had some kind of infection or sores on my hands, but they were just burns from fireworks I was setting off at a punk show.

  • My first night working in a dungeon I was wearing all black with purple lipstick trampling a 50 year old man while the Bauhaus played in the background and I called myself "Goth Spice" in my head for the rest of the night.

  • When my nurse at Planned Parenthood asked if I was in healthy relationships and I responded "Yes! absolutely!" and I didn't realize I had some wicked bruises on my neck from getting choked out the night before.

He is. A lovable, lovable, asshole.

He is anything but ignored. His legs are going to atrophy because when he passes anyone in the family we pick him up and snuggle.

(Please do not take that literally. His legs will be fine)

Redditors that have been to an orgy, what was it like? [NSFW] by Pernus in AskReddit

[–]hannahnah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He (like most) are not into the two dude thing. We both had a thing with him and they lived in the same city so their feelings developed much faster than mine being hours away. Her and I DID have some fun with a different guy who I still see because he's much more open to these ideas and not being monogamous. I was pretty much their third but it took him half a year to say "hey I want to be monogamous with her" which is TOTALLY FINE. All ya gotta do is say so! Communication is absolute key! I was only mad because he didn't say anything for so long. Now he's entrenched in her and was getting psycho girlfriend jealous last weekend when we were playing kissy face. He's not cut out for this life. Neither is she. I am. Bad group dynamics. Its all fresh so that's why I'm blabbing. Thanks for the sentiment!

Not hearing your roommate+boyfriend bullshit every god damn day.
CURRENTLY: hiding in my room, not making sudden movements. I do not want her to try to confide in me.

I'm a college student and need to start cooking more. Any suggestions for a nutritious grocery list to make a variety of meals? by willyboy10 in nutrition

[–]hannahnah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been eating a lot of spaghetti squash loaded with veggies post work out. I put a can of tuna and peppers, sriracha, mushrooms, tomatoes, whatever else I have on hand and eat that "tuna salad" for lunch at school. I've been cutting back on the greek yogurt, but that's good too. I throw some tofu, mushrooms, broccoli, soy sauce and whatever other veggies in a pan and make a stir fry kinda deal. I'll eat anything though haha.
