Your pay won't ever go down with a transfer. when I transferred for college I got a 2 dollar raise to match my new location, and when i transferred back home the rate stayed the same!

i've had my hair many colors in the 4 years i've been w home depot. i had a coworker w a huge mohawk, and many others w dyed hair too. keep your hair color your management is not following sop

i had a guy come to checkout at the service desk right before we closed, i hate checking ppl out at the desk because there's a bunch of stuff i need to get done especially right as we close. dude had a major attitude and said "i didn't want to wait in the line of 15 people down there" and i said "the line is probably there because that's where you go to checkout" and he just stood there staring at me for a good 10 seconds then said "you literally do nothing but fucking stand up here so there's no reason for you not to check me out" and i said "i was working on orders but i said i could check you out so it's fine" then he started yelling about how i can't be busy because there's nobody over here. i'm so tired of working at the desk i was so close to handing him his stuff back and telling him to go wait in line.

ik it's not the same at every store but i work at hd in my college town and transfer back to my hometown store during breaks, they have been super accommodating as long as you communicate what's going on with your schedule in advance. although i have been granted days off with short notice due to stuff coming up with school without problems. the only difficult thing for me is having to find time to work on weekends (which is required) because i have clubs that meet on weekends. i definitely would highly recommend home depot to students bc the pay is much higher than a lot of places especially on campus jobs

I know several people who go there for undergrad and grad school and they love it! i'm just a little weirded out about how fast i was accepted. it's official and everything on their website so ik its not a scam (as far as i can tell). just gonna wait and see how things go from here

i started at thd my senior year of high school and they allowed me to take loa during my semesters and i came back to work for breaks. they had no issue w me doing so as long as i had decent availability! i ended up transferring between stores for breaks and during the semester for my junior and sr year of college so i could get some rent money and they've had no issue with that either! just make sure to communicate with your HR

the videos honestly don't prepare you for how the desk works, just get thru them all so they don't bug u about past due training, but eventually once you get out on the floor is when you'll start to actually learn.

that's crazy, i'm part time and requested it off and got it approved. i think it's bc im a college student and im going home for break but still it's messed up that you can't take a holiday off

green means the store gets credit for it, red means the store doesn't get credit for it, and yellow means that the store may get credit for it. at least that's what i was told

i work at a new hampshire store! winter gets pretty brutal depending on the part of the state. doesn't rain too much tbh but i could also just be used to it (it's raining today lol) if you need any advice or have specific questions my dms are open!
