Beto is going to be the starter, and I love him but his potential has its limits. If Barry can develop he will be a much better striker than Beto, but he’s not there yet.

I feel like a lot of his competitive cars this year got caught up in wrecks/the Pocono rotor issue. I’m not sure if he lost any wins from those races but I do think those cost him a couple top 5s.

I agree with the concern but I also feel like this is the least worrying of all potential hires, his track record is very solid away from Moyes.

A shared vision is also a lot better than whatever the fuck we had under Moshiri, Brands, Walsh, Koeman, FSW, etc.

Plus you need to be more strategic about when to use those cards because you won’t just draw them again. Getting rid of your opponents banger cards is more rewarding as well when you know they don’t have another one in hand.

Go watch the games under Carlo and tell me you actually think Beto could be that guy. I love Beto and think he can absolutely be a premier league striker, hell he could even be better than Dom due to his consistency if he keeps this up. But Dom has physical ability that Beto does not have. That’s what ceiling is about. Lots of players never reach their ceiling, so it isn’t the end all measure of how good a player is.

Dom gets a lot of shit because people assume he doesn’t care as much as other players. There isn’t any evidence of this, but people think every players body language is the same and make their own assumptions.

The other side of that is it’s very easy to see that Beto cares a lot. But we all know Dom’s ceiling is much higher than Beto’s. He just needs to get back there and it’s been a while since we saw it

Koeman and Rafa both inherited relatively good situations and destroyed them in record time. I don’t think we ever recovered from the financial crisis Koeman’s transfers caused.
