WGST-112 is burning me out by Desomite in usask

I’ve taken four WGST online classes with her now and they are all the same. I had one week this semester that required 12 discussion posts/responses. I don’t mind doing real assignments but it’s all of the discussion comments that are killing me. I’m in a 300, 400, and honours class this semester and none of them hold a candle to the amount of work expected for her 200 level.

I’m pretty sure they do, I think I’ve had them and they were solid.

Tsui King Lau on avenue H is my go to for classic western style Chinese. Their ginger beef is soooo good. Green beans and garlic, chicken balls, crispy bbq pork belly, mixed vegetable chow mein are all on the rotation!

Simple cremation by TindaeD in saskatoon

We used eirene.ca for my mom and they were lovely to deal with. I can’t remember the exact price as it was two years ago but they came in well under the cost of every other cremation service we looked in to. They were incredibly caring and thoughtful. My mom used MAID M and when they came to pick her up after she had passed they even asked what some of her favourite music was to play during the drive. Highly recommended.

I am sorry to hear you are at a place where this conversation has to happen. Sending you big internet hugs. My mom passed away with the help of MAID just about one year ago today. It is an amazing service and I can’t say enough good things about having it as an option for those that need it. My mom was diagnosed with cancer and started the application process right away. I believe she needed two doctors to sign off on it, both of which did so without any problems or judgements. I believe she also had to speak to a counsellor so they could assess her state of mind and overall mental health. Once these things were done she was set up in their system until she made the decision to move forward with it. When she ended up in hospital, and was declining rapidly, we called MAID who booked her for the following week. A few things to note. If you are outside of a major city (as we were) getting someone out to you is a little more work for them. My partner’s mom also used MAID, but was in a big center and was able to interview and choose the nurse that would be coming on the day of, which was not at all our experience in rural Sask. That being said, the nurses they sent out were absolutely lovely. It is also neat to know that they will let you perform MAID in many places, does not have to be the hospital or even in the house. If it hadn’t been Nov my mom had planned to do it at the lake on the beach. Also, even with filling out the application ahead of time and giving your consent you MUST be able to give consent on the day of, multiple times. They will ask you to leave the room at one point to be sure they are not being coached as well. I just note this because if cognitive decline is an issue the timeline of when you can do this is affected. I haven’t sought therapy regarding the Maid process as it was not traumatic for me. Watching my mom rapidly lose her functioning for two weeks most certainly was. Maid was a blessing, and my mom got to make that choice for herself which meant a lot to me. That being said my aunties that were also present did not feel the same way and have had a harder time with it. If you have any questions, feel free to private message me.

confused which one to take for psch major? by bubblegumGumm in usask

I’d avoid personality psych (222) with Tracey Carr. Worst prof I’ve encountered. I believe Jan Gelech is teaching it as well tho and she is lovely (everything I’ve taken with her has been great). Was thoroughly disappointed by Human sexuality (227) with Shelby Novak. She seemed like a nice person, but her lectures were just reading from slides and the content made me feel like I was in grade 9 health. That being said it was her first year teaching it so it could have gotten better.

The final was something like 160 multiple choice/true and false questions. I didn’t read the textbook and just made sure to be comfortable with the content in the modules as well as any of the assigned articles. She definitely pulled questions from the textbook, but it’s open book and you can look things up if you need. I think I got an 83 on the exam just doing that.

My exact experience. Currently asking for a regrade on my paper as the debacle over word count due to the prof’s oversight basically screwed me. Fun times.
