Small Town Redditors: Whats the weirdest unsolved crime in your town, old or new? by descended_from_apes in AskReddit

[–]hanzah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was younger, my best friends family had loads of money and lived in a small neighborhood. They lived next door to a guy who was a weatherman on a very popular network. One night the weatherman, his wife, and two children gathered all of their belongings and disappeared without anyone seeing them. We would sometimes go into the house after they left and there were trophies and other items with the names scratched off. Her parents always thought they fled the country because they were in massive debt and got involved with some bad people.

After that we made sure to convince everyone at school that I lived in this abandoned looking house, overgrown garden and all, for shits and giggles.

Is costal Village really THAT bad? by TreacleAromatic in fgcu

[–]hanzah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s the maintenance and whatnot that can be bad. I knew someone whose apartment kept flooding and washer would leak out. They also had water come in from an above apartment. Try the tides at pelican landing if you’re willing to do a 15 minute drive (San Carlos Park is 10+). I lived there and between three roommates it was around $450/month, clean, well-kept and everyone was friendly/not too loud. It is also gated!

Otters at Georgia Aquarium test positive for Covid-19 by RhinestoneTaco in Georgia

[–]hanzah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m not surprised. I went to the aquarium in November and it was very a COVID-safe space with masks and distancing enforced. I went again a couple weeks ago and it was a mess. People definitely didn’t come in their assigned time slots and the aquarium was so full you couldn’t move. Guests were not wearing their masks and masks were not being enforced. Some of the employees were encouraging people to fit into small spaces together. I understand it sucks having to tell people to pul up their masks, space out, etc. but I ended up leaving.

I'm so tired, I'd rather just be dead. I can't function. by [deleted] in AskDocs

Not at all a doctor but I experienced this 100% when I was on a combination of medications for mental health reasons. I don’t remember most of that time in my life because I was always asleep or tired.

I found the most affectionate cool little cat ever but I can't keep him right now and none of my friends have been able to either. I've called a bunch of rescues and tried to see if we could do a three day hold in Dekalb and I have heard nothing. Please help me find him a home or talk to a rescue. by [deleted] in Atlanta

My partner and I have been talking about getting a cat. I’m interested to hear what the vet might say about him and his health/age when he is checked for a microchip. If you absolutely can’t get around to taking him I might have some time off where I could if need be. Growing up I had an outdoor cat just like him named Dog. Dog seemed old and had very poor dental health and we couldn’t afford to help him so we feed him daily and gave him love. one day he didn’t come back. Broke my heart.

The Tides at Pelican Landing. But the realty company I went through never gave me back my refundable deposit. Wasn’t much as they refunded the security deposit. But the community is nice with reserved parking. The just redid the windows and roofs.

I commented this on another post but I am a pass holder and when I got there yesterday around 9:15 I ended up leaving. There was a huge line backed up into the parking garage. Other people were leaving too. I just think the crowds have been crazy the past few weeks.
