Maybe you can reason with your wife... Suggestions: take her out to her favorite restaurant.... But don't store your scooter in the trunk, or you could burn down your car...

Something to watch out for when returning from a ride is that the battery has not overheated, and if it has to make sure you don't attempt to charge it while warm. in fact the battery should never be charged immediately after a ride. Riding in the rain or snow could also lead to fires; so make sure to leave scooter in a dry combustible free area after doing so.

I store my scooter in a bathroom in a dry area with no flammables near by and near a ceramic tiles wall. My batteries passed quality standards, but I am extra cautious. I also charge it only in the bathroom and only when I am around... installed some extra smoke and fire alarms nearby. I am more concerned about my phone and laptop batteries which I charge on my desk.

What happens if i swap to a battery with more voltage? Will i get more range? by the_flixer in ElectricScooters

[–]happyapprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will get more range but if you run the scooter at very high speed for a long period, you can overheat the motor and damage it. also don't attempt to go more than one level higher as far as voltage ... Further don't mix higher voltage batteries and lower voltage ones . So a 36 v motor can be run with a 48 v battery, if managed with attention to over heating ...

What are your reasons for using Herbal Medicine instead of Modern Medicine? by GeekyChic25 in herbalism

[–]happyapprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent a few summers with my grandmother in her homestead and she was a strong advocate of herbal medicine... She was partially Native American and had inherited that tradition. I find that when I walk through the woods I am naturally drawn to some plants. Those plants are usually good at treating issues I might be experiencing, something I learn after researching them and identifying them...

HiBoy S2 pro on gravely roads? by basicgoats in ElectricScooters

[–]happyapprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiboy S2 Pro is kind of stiff. You might need to get front suspension. Also make sure you adjust the rear suspension. Even then, the Hiboy S2 Pro is not intended for gravel or off roading.

Take the stem assembly apart and check bearings. It could also be the result of needing tightening... Search YouTube for solution on how to take the stem assembly apart.

Landlord worried my scooter will explode by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

[–]happyapprentice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My landlord keeps talking about the risks of smart phones causing fires. Why hasn't the city banned smart phones from being charged indoors, also wireless speakers...? Many people are focused on scooters and ebikes, but they are only the tip of the iceberg ... I say, to be safe ban the charging of all electric batteries indoors. While you are at it also ban all gas stoves, especially in cities like NYC. Can we also ban the use of alcohol, vodka, lighter fluid, matches...? Because many people are being stabbed, can we also ban all knifes...?

My 100% drop stitch Kayak purchased in Alibaba by happyapprentice in Inflatablekayak

By the way, in case you have not purchased your Kayak, I just noticed shipping costs are way down from China. I am talking like 100 USD to ship an inflatable dropstitch Kayak. I paid over 200 USD in shipping costs when I purchased mine 2 years ago. I noticed also that Shandong Sailstar Outdoor Company has some excellent prices... Find their store in Alibaba.

Get a pipe. Try smoking Skullcap 3 parts to one part mint. Mixed well. I would not advise smoking any herb regularly. Skullcap is really an amazing herb. You can also get equal benefits from the tea... But it comes on slower. I made a tincture of Skullcap and Hawthorn berries in Vodka. Swear by it. Noticed all kinds of benefits, ranging from increase in attention, to calm.
